ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure and maintain PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) and MongoDB databases. Monitor and optimise database performance, including queries, indexes, configurations and resource usage. Implement and maintain backup, restoration and disaster recovery procedures to protect data integrity. Configure replication, clustering and failover to ensure database availability and reliability. Troubleshoot database incidents, resolve performance bottlenecks and conduct root cause analysis. Implement database security controls and manage users, roles and permissions in line with data privacy requirements. Work with developers to design and optimise database schemas for scalability and maintainability. Perform database upgrades, patching and maintenance, and maintain operational documentation and standards. Use SSRS for report development and SSIS/ETL tools for data integration.
