The role translates business and regulatory needs into system requirements, performs research and end-to-end validation, resolves issues, and strengthens controls to ensure accurate, timely, compliant, and reliable billing communications. The analyst also supports cross-functional initiatives, continuous improvement, and less-experienced team members. As an experienced professional 3, this role independently manages complex requirements and operational issues, identifies opportunities to strengthen controls and processes, and develops solutions to recurring or higher-impact challenges. The role serves as a knowledgeable resource to partners and contributes to cross-functional initiatives, automation, and continuous improvement.Job Description\nCore Responsibilities:\nCreate, maintain, implement, and validate billing statement content, customer communications, and related configurations. \nAnalyze complex business requirements, customer scenarios, system logic, dependencies, and implementation impacts. \nTranslate business, legal, regulatory, and customer needs into clear specifications, business rules, build execution. \nResearch statement content, billing data, bill codes, discount codes, configurations, and production results to determine current functionality and required changes. \nUse SQL, Excel, and other tools to reconcile data, identify trends, investigate issues, and validate system behavior. \nPerform production validation for statement approved communication changes. \nResolve defects, partner with technology and development teams, and confirm corrections meet requirements. \nInvestigate statement discrepancies, incorrect messaging, data-quality issues, and recurring exceptions; coordinate resolution and recommend sustainable improvements. \nApply quality, compliance, and operational-control standards; identify and escalate significant risks or control gaps. \nMaintain clear documentation of requirements, business rules, decisions, approvals, and implementation outcomes. \nDevelop requirements for reporting and analysis on statement quality, defects, operational performance, implementation results, and emerging issues. \nRecommend solutions based on customer impact, business value, system dependencies, timing, and available data; define and evaluate success measures. \nCoordinate and provide subject-matter guidance, and exercise independent judgment on complex matters. \nSupport accurate, timely, consistent, and compliant customer billing experiences. \nMaintain regular attendance and work nights, weekends, variable schedules, or overtime as business needs require. \nPerform other duties as assigned. \nPreferred Qualifications\nProgressive experience in billing statements, customer communications, business systems, application operations, business analysis, or a comparable function. \nDemonstrated ability to analyze complex requirements, customer scenarios, system behavior, dependencies, and implementation options independently. \nExperience developing requirements, specifications, business rules, process flows, and operational documentation. \nStrong analytical, problem-solving, proofreading, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to recommend sustainable solutions. \nProficiency with Excel and working knowledge of SQL for research, reconciliation, trend analysis, and validation. \nExperience with customer-facing content, regulated communications, quality control, compliance, data integrity, and operational controls. \nAbility to assess system interactions and the customer, business, operational, and technical impacts of changes. \nStrong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills across business and vendor teams. \nAbility to manage competing priorities, coordinate projects or releases, exercise sound judgment, and resolve complex issues independently. \nFamiliarity with Biller data tables, bill codes, discount codes, BriteBill, or comparable billing and communication platforms. \nExperience identifying automation and process-improvement opportunities and guiding less-experienced team members \nDisclaimer: This information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this role.
