Job Summary

This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, customer retention, brand awareness, and market leadership across the Heartland Region. This leader serves as a strategic business partner to Sales, Product, Operations, and Executive Leadership, owning regional demand generation, solution positioning, sales enablement, event strategy, and go-to-market execution.

The role sits at the intersection of product strategy, revenue growth, brand execution, and sales enablement. The Senior Director leads a team responsible for delivering measurable business outcomes through integrated marketing programs, strategic partnerships, commercial campaigns, and customer engagement initiatives. Success is measured by pipeline generation, revenue contribution, market share growth, customer engagement, and seller effectiveness.

This position requires a strategic thinker with strong business acumen who can translate market opportunities into actionable programs that accelerate growth while maintaining Comcast Business's reputation as a trusted, innovative, and enterprise-grade technology partner.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

Strategic Marketing Leadership

  • Develop and execute regional marketing strategies aligned with Comcast Business growth objectives, revenue targets, and market priorities.
  • Partner with Senior Sales Leadership to align marketing investments with business goals, regional priorities, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Lead annual and quarterly marketing planning processes, establishing measurable objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Evaluate market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities to influence business strategy and marketing priorities.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of strategic significance, budget allocation, and market positioning.

Demand Generation & Pipeline Growth

  • Own regional top-of-funnel and mid-funnel demand generation strategies designed to increase qualified pipeline and revenue growth.
  • Develop and oversee integrated campaigns supporting Ethernet, SD-WAN, Security, Mobility, Managed Services, Connectivity, and emerging Comcast Business solutions.
  • Partner closely with Enterprise, Small Business, Channel, and Partner Sales organizations to align marketing initiatives with quota attainment and growth objectives.
  • Drive acquisition, retention, expansion, and base-growth marketing programs across targeted customer segments.
  • Lead regional Account-Based Marketing (ABM) programs supporting Enterprise and Strategic Account sales efforts.
  • Oversee digital campaigns, webinars, thought leadership initiatives, customer events, sponsorships, and field marketing activities.
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations to implement lead scoring, lead management, and opportunity handoff processes that improve conversion rates and marketing effectiveness.

Product & Solution Marketing

  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling customer value propositions.
  • Develop messaging frameworks that effectively communicate Comcast Business's differentiated network, technology, security, and customer experience advantages.
  • Establish and maintain competitive positioning against key competitors including AT&T, Verizon, Lumen, Spectrum, and other market providers.
  • Partner with Product, Sales, and Operations teams to support go-to-market readiness and successful product launches.
  • Ensure marketing content accurately reflects product capabilities, customer outcomes, and market needs.

Sales Enablement

  • Lead the development of tools, resources, and programs that help sellers effectively communicate Comcast Business value propositions and win customer opportunities.
  • Oversee creation of:
    • Sales presentations and executive customer materials
    • Competitive battlecards
    • Customer success stories and case studies
    • Industry-specific messaging frameworks
    • Campaign toolkits and playbooks
    • Event and sponsorship activation materials
  • Partner with Enterprise Sales, Small Business Sales, Channel Sales, Business Development, and Partner organizations to support revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment between marketing strategies and front-line sales execution.

Brand Stewardship & Market Presence

  • Ensure Comcast Business is consistently positioned as a reliable, enterprise-grade, innovative, and customer-focused technology provider.
  • Maintain brand consistency across paid media, owned channels, events, sponsorships, field marketing, customer communications, and sales materials.
  • Lead cross-functional communication strategies that promote consistent messaging and alignment across departments.
  • Oversee regional customer engagement activities, executive events, trade shows, community partnerships, and strategic sponsorship opportunities.

Team Leadership & Operational Excellence

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing organization focused on collaboration, innovation, accountability, and business impact.
  • Establish policies, operational procedures, governance standards, and budget management practices for marketing activities and investments.
  • Manage vendor relationships, agency partnerships, sponsorship agreements, and external marketing resources.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through data-driven decision making and performance measurement.
  • Ensure efficient execution of campaigns, events, and programs while maintaining fiscal responsibility.

Analytics & Business Performance

  • Measure and analyze the effectiveness of marketing programs using data-driven insights and performance metrics.
  • Evaluate campaign ROI, pipeline contribution, lead conversion, customer acquisition, customer retention, and revenue impact.
  • Develop executive reporting and business reviews that demonstrate marketing performance and strategic impact.
  • Use analytics and customer insights to optimize future investments and program strategies.
