This role provides technical and team leadership in planning, designing, developing, and supporting Audience Manager applications and related integrations for TV platform advertising products. Partners with Engineering, Product, Revenue Science, Product Marketing, Partnership, and Privacy teams to ensure Audience Manager components and services enable accurate, responsive, feature-rich, privacy-compliant (application-level) functionality. Provides leadership and direction across multiple functional areas and maintains fiduciary responsibility for budgets while maximizing the value of enterprise identity data assets.Job Description\nCore Responsibilities:\nLead and manage the Audience Manager engineering team, providing clear direction, performance feedback, coaching, and career development.\nManage engineering resources and budgets effectively while driving cloud cost efficiency and maximizing the business value of technology investments. \nProvide technical leadership in planning and designing business processes and architectural frameworks for Audience Manager and TV platform advertising products.\nDesign and develop software applications using Golang and gRPC.\nDevelop microservices deployed via HTTP communication.\nUse AWS services to develop and support software applications.\nDevelop CI/CD pipelines using Docker and Kubernetes.\nManage data analytics using Spark and Scala.\nDevelop software applications using Python.\nAnalyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; oversee documentation of development activities; and assist with tracking performance metrics.\nIntegrate knowledge of business and functional priorities and act as a key contributor in a complex and crucial software environment.\nCollaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements, conduct analysis to determine integration needs, support applications under development, and customize current applications.\nDevelop software update processes for existing applications and assist in the rollout of software releases.\nOversee the research, writing, and editing of documentation and technical requirements, including evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports.\nStay abreast of technological developments within the industry, monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products, and review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to assigned projects.\nProvide guidance throughout the design process regarding practices, procedures, and techniques.\nTrack and evaluate performance metrics, ensuring that the team delivers software on time, to specification, and within budget.\nWork with the Quality Assurance team to determine whether applications meet specifications and technical requirements.\nApply expertise in engineering methodologies and process design and redesign to ensure customers receive seamless digital options at every touchpoint.\nPresent and defend architectural, design, and technical choices to internal audiences.\nGuide and mentor engineers and support the professional development of team members.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.\n5+ years of hands-on experience in software development and 7+ years of experience developing software for TV platform advertising products using Golang and gRPC and developing microservice architectures.\nAt least 3 years of experience in each of the following:\nUsing AWS services, including S3, EMR, Glue, EC2, ECS, IAM, Lambda, CodeBuild, Athena, RDS, Aurora, and EKS, and working with Redis and Elasticsearch.\nDeveloping CI/CD pipelines using Docker and Kubernetes.\nUsing CI/CD and infrastructure tools such as Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild, and Terraform.\nManaging data analytics initiatives using Spark and Scala.\nDeveloping software applications using Python.\nThree years of experience using SQL and working with at least one database platform or query engine, including Spark SQL, Presto, or MySQL.\nExperience providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers.\nPassion for developing engineers and helping them grow in their careers.\nProven ability to foster collaboration and establish effective engineering processes.\nProven ability to lead design discussions and influence architectural decisions.\nStrong understanding of system performance, scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.\nStrong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.\nAbility to make pragmatic tradeoffs and deliver results without compromising quality or team health.\nSelf-motivated and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment.\nAbility to align engineering priorities with business requirements and balance product development with platform improvements and technical debt.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nSnowflake experience\nExperience in ad tech, media, or data-intensive platforms\nBackground in performance monitoring, observability, and cost optimization in cloud environments\nSkills\nGo Programming Language, Structured Query Language (SQL), Team LeadershipCompensation\nVirginia Pay Range: $171,515.38 - $257,273.07Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
