The 21,000-seat arena is a showcase arena for the company’s industry-leading qualities as an operator and an innovator in the live event experience.Job Summary\nThe Building Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Building Services Department during assigned event shifts at Xfinity Mobile Arena. The Supervisor provides leadership, direction, and support to union Building Services Associates while ensuring the arena is maintained in a clean, safe, sanitary, and guest-ready condition before, during, and after sporting events, concerts, family shows, corporate events, and other special events.The Supervisor monitors work performance, ensures compliance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety regulations, and quality standards, and serves as the primary point of contact for operational issues within assigned areas. The position requires strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced event environment.\nJob Description\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nSupervise union Building Services Associates during assigned event shifts.\nMonitor employee performance and productivity throughout the event.\nProvide coaching, instruction, and guidance to employees while maintaining a positive work environment.\nEnsure employees comply with departmental policies, collective bargaining agreement provisions, SOPs, and safety requirements.\nDocument performance concerns and communicate issues to Building Services management.\nAssist with employee training and onboarding of new staff.\nCoordinate cleaning operations before, during, and after events.\nEnsure all assigned areas meet arena cleanliness and presentation standards.\nRespond quickly to operational issues, guest concerns, and emergency cleaning situations.\nCoordinate post-event cleaning activities to ensure timely building turnover.\nEquipment & Supply Management\nEnsure employees safely operate all cleaning equipment.\nInspect equipment before and after use.\nReport equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.\nEnsure equipment is cleaned and properly stored following each event.\nMonitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, chemicals, paper products, liners, and equipment.\nCoordinate replenishment of supplies as needed.\nEnsure proper chemical handling and storage procedures are followed.\nSafety & Compliance\nEnsure employees utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nMonitor safe chemical usage and compliance with Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements.\nReport accidents, injuries, hazards, and property damage immediately.\nAssist with emergency response procedures when necessary.\nPromote a safe working environment for employees, guests, contractors, and vendors.\nPosition Requirements\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\nPrevious supervisory or leadership experience preferred.\nStrong leadership and interpersonal skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong organizational and time management abilities.\nAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to read, interpret, and follow written procedures.\nAbility to effectively lead union employees in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.\nAttendance is an essential function of this position.\nMust be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on event schedules.\nPhysical Requirements\nEmployees must be able to:\nStand and walk for extended periods.\nFrequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach overhead.\nLift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.\nPush and pull loaded carts, cleaning equipment, and trash containers.\nPerform repetitive physical activities throughout the work shift.\nOperate powered cleaning equipment safely.\nWork indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.\nWork in environments containing dust, moisture, cleaning chemicals, noise, and large crowds associated with sporting events and concerts.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nStrong leadership and decision-making abilities.\nAbility to motivate and lead diverse teams.\nAbility to maintain professionalism under pressure.\nStrong customer service orientation.\nAbility to adapt quickly to changing event needs.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nStrong attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.\nAdditional Duties\nThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this position.
