You will combine deep Juniper configuration and troubleshooting skills with test planning, technical documentation and customer-facing delivery across enterprise and service-provider networks.\nAssignment\nLocation: Middletown, New Jersey, USA\nEngagement: freelance / contract\nWork arrangement: Onsite\nSchedule: 40 hours per week\nResponsibilities\nDevelop, execute and document test plans for new hardware, software releases and network designs; validate Junos features, interoperability and performance.\nConfigure laboratory environments and use test equipment to establish whether solutions meet design and operational requirements.\nDesign, configure and deploy routing, switching, security and cloud-managed solutions, supporting onboarding, migrations and operational readiness.\nDevelop resilient WAN architectures using Metro Ethernet, Internet and LTE backup services, and troubleshoot complex implementation issues.\nCreate certification reports, configuration guides, deployment standards and engineering procedures, keeping test results and recommendations clear and usable.\nPresent technical findings and transfer knowledge to engineering, operations and customer teams, coordinating delivery across multiple projects and priorities.\nProvide technical leadership during customer onboarding and migrations, collaborating with customer engineering and implementation teams.\nRequirements\nAt least five years of hands-on experience with Juniper routing, switching and security, including both laboratory certification and customer implementations.\nJNCIP-level configuration and troubleshooting proficiency; certification itself is not mandatory.\nConfigure and troubleshoot multicast, GRE, IPsec VPNs, NAT, BGP, OSPF, IPv6, CoS, routing instances, J-Flow, Real-Time, RPM, VRRP and SNMP.\nHands-on platforms include SRX300/SRX400 and mid-range SRX; MX204/MX301/MX304/MX240/MX480; EX3400/EX4000/EX4650; and QFX5120.\nExperience configuring, deploying, monitoring and supporting Mist WAN Assurance and Mist Switch Assurance environments.\nExperience using Spirent TestCenter and PRTG Network Monitor.\nA degree in Computer Science, IT or Engineering, or equivalent experience.\nDesirable skills\nJuniper certifications; SD-WAN, Metro Ethernet and LTE/5G resilient WAN experience\nCompetencies\nYou should be able to design, build, validate and deploy solutions independently, with strong analytical, consulting and presentation skills. Clear communication with engineering, operations and customer audiences is essential.
