You'll run these systems in production, keep them fast and reliable as data volumes grow, and work closely with our Python backend, data and AI teams.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, build and operate AWS infrastructure (EKS/ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM).\nOwn Couchbase in production: cluster architecture and sizing, buckets and indexes (GSI), XDCR replication, backup/restore, upgrades, and performance tuning.\nOwn the Confluent / Kafka platform: Confluent Platform or Confluent Cloud, topic and partition design, Schema Registry, Kafka Connect connectors, consumer lag, throughput tuning and upgrades.\nRun stateful workloads on production Kubernetes, including Couchbase and Kafka operators, Helm, cluster scaling and upgrades.\nManage all infrastructure as code with Terraform.\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and data services.\nOwn monitoring, logging and alerting across the platform, including Couchbase and Kafka health; lead incident response and post-mortems.\nSupport data and AI/LLM workloads and keep cloud costs in check.\nRequirements\nRequirements (must-have):\n5+ years in DevOps / SRE / platform engineering, with 3+ years running AWS and Kubernetes in production.\n Expert-level Couchbase: hands-on production administration of Couchbase Server clusters (architecture, XDCR, indexing, backup/restore, upgrades, performance tuning).\n Expert-level Confluent / Apache Kafka: hands-on production operation of Confluent Platform or Confluent Cloud (brokers, Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, partitioning, consumer lag, scaling).\nKubernetes in production, including running stateful workloads with operators.\nAWS: EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, VPC.\nTerraform / infrastructure as code.\nCI/CD pipeline design and ownership.\nObservability and incident response (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK / CloudWatch).\nDocker / containerization.\nScripting in Python and Bash.\nStrong Linux and networking fundamentals.\nBased in Poland; fluent English.\nNice to Have:\nCertifications: Confluent Certified Administrator for Apache Kafka, Couchbase certification, CKA.\nCouchbase Capella or Confluent Cloud managed-service experience.\nCouchbase Autonomous Operator or Confluent for Kubernetes / Strimzi.\nksqlDB / Kafka Streams;
