Commerce Trust is a division of Commerce Bank.\nAbout This Job\nThe Client Associate provides client service and lending support to assigned Private Bankers and Insurance Premium Finance Relationship Managers. This position works closely with clients, advisors, and internal partners to complete service needs, support loan processing, and maintain accurate client information.\nEssential Functions\nManage portfolio of client relationships for 1-3 Insurance Premium Finance Relationship Managers.\nProvide a superior client experience by completing tasks, resolving issues, and following up in a timely manner.\nWork closely with Insurance Premium Finance Relationship Manager(s) to build a strong channel of communication.\nPrepare client presentations and participate in joint client or advisor calls when necessary.\nAssist in processing loans, coordinating document requests, preparing closing materials, and scheduling closings.\nWork with assigned Insurance Premium Finance Relationship Manager(s) to ensure CRM (Quest) records are kept up-to-date.\nAssist with ongoing servicing and monitoring of client relationships and credit facilities.\nSupport other Private Banking Client Associates by communicating effectively and providing coverage when needed.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Required\nKnowledge of general banking services and products, with emphasis on lending and deposit products.\nDemonstrated client contact and communication skills.\nProficiency in word processing and spreadsheet preparation required; familiarity with contact management software and database management helpful.\nGood organizational skills.\nMotivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail.\nInquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).\nAbility to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values.\nIntermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.\nEducation & Experience\nHigh school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.\n2+ years retail or commercial banking experience preferred.\nExperience with Commerce Bank internal systems preferred, including Quest and other applicable banking and loan systems.\nPrior experience in client service, lending support, or financial operations is beneficial.\nFor this position, federal regulations require Commerce Bank to prepare an investigatory consumer report which will disclose credit history.
