The messaging environment consists of Microsoft Exchange Online mail services, on-premises Exchange 2019 servers, Intune Mobility Services, NetApp backup and restore solutions, along with UnitySync directory synchronization services. The underlying infrastructure consists of Microsoft M365 Cloud services, physical servers, VMware Virtualization and NetApp storage solutions.\nThe team members will use their expertise and knowledge in messaging and directory services to configure aspects of and provide messaging support to the Microsoft Enterprise Exchange environment. They will assist with all phases of planning, documenting, installing, managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting to maintain a high-availability Exchange environment.\nResponsibilities\nYour essential job functions will include but may not be limited to-\nSupports the overall health of technologies associated with the Enterprise Messaging environment.\n\nProvides Microsoft Enterprise Exchange operational configuration management support.\n\nIdentifies and corrects split mailbox configurations, ensuring seamless mail flow, synchronization, and user coexistence across diverse messaging environments.\n\nIdentifies, troubleshoots, and resolves Exchange or Exchange On-Line provisioning errors, automating account creation workflows and correcting synchronization failures within active directories and mail systems.\n\nUse Microsoft Purview to conduct content searches, enforce legal and compliance eDiscovery holds, and execute purges for data spillage mitigation.\n\nUse Microsoft Defender, Investigate escalated email security alerts, analyze suspicious messages, and run message traces or email header analyses. Troubleshoot mail flow disruptions, integration issues, and SMTP routing rules in coordination with Exchange Online.\n\nResolves Tier III messaging tickets.\n\nConfigures Antivirus products and HBSS as they relate to Exchange Servers.\n\nProvides guidance and instruction (to include written documentation) such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and inputs into the knowledge management system repository to the service desk for handling standard Message related incidents and service requests.\n\nProvides documentation, guidance and instruction to the Tier 1 and Tier II service desks for the handling of standard Messaging related incidents, work orders and service requests.\n\nMonitor the health of Messaging systems with provided event management tools.\n\nImplements monitoring tools thresholds and conducts proactive event remediation.\n\nEnsures that any latency is identified and mitigated/remediated upon discovery in accordance with required response times.\n\nMonitors availability of system upgrades.\n\nProvide Directory Support for the following products: ADLDS, Unity Sync, Identity Integration Feature Pack, and Forefront Identity Manager to manage the Government Global Address List (GAL).\n\nProvides analysis and remediation for Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) for all responsible technologies in preparation for annual Commanders Cyber Readiness Inspections (CCRI).\n\nProvide input and assistance with integration of new capabilities and engineered solutions.\n\nProvide reconfiguration and optimization recommendations, in writing, of supported technologies as required.\n\nSupport the provision of services in supported technology areas assigned.\n\nSupport configuration, documentation, and planning of Disaster Recovery related items.\n\nPerform systems performance monitoring type work.\n\nProvide input and updates to business process models.\n\nMaintain, update, and support the development of operational documentation that includes but not limited to: Work instructions; Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); System diagrams.\n\nQualifications\nRequired Experience and Education:\nProfessional series Certification (e.g. MCSE [AD or Exchange], MCITP [AD or Exchange])\n\nIAT III - (CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP [Associate], GCED, GCIH, or CCSP)\n\n7 years related experience with Microsoft Exchange and O365\n\nExchange SE\nExchange Online\nMicrosoft M365\nPreferred Skills:\nExperience with Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Purview\nSecurity Clearance:\nTop Secret w/SCI eligibility\nSalary:\nThe anticipated salary range for this position is $138,000 - $150,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including the candidate’s relevant work experience, education, professional certifications, technical skills, required security clearance level, geographic location, and overall qualifications.
