Common App is currently searching for a Data/Visual Storyteller.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nAs a member of the Communications & Marketing team, and reporting to the Senior Director of Media & External Affairs, this individual will work with the communications team to tell the visual story of Common App’s mission and initiatives through multimedia assets- including visual and graphic design. The ideal candidate will have the ability to translate data, narratives, and internal communications into visual stories, creative concepts and educational content, including web content, data visualizations, digital presentations, and video graphics.\nRequirements\nQUALIFICATIONS\nThis role requires:\nCandidates must live in the United States.\nWilling to travel to attend twice annual Common App Retreat.\nBachelor’s degree in graphic or visual design or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\n4-6 years of professional experience in digital, video, and print design, including management of brand standards, assets, and templates.\nVisual design background; systematic design/multichannel experience as well as campaign/storytelling abilities.\nProficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.\nProficiency with presentation software, including PowerPoint and Google Slides.\nKeen attention to detail, strong organization and project management skills with the ability to handle quick turnaround times and multiple deliverables.\nExcellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team and as an individual contributor.\nFlexible in a fast-paced environment with the ability to positively adapt to changes.\nProven ability to lead and direct creative projects from concept to completion.\nExperience evolving a brand, interpreting and applying brand identity standards effortlessly across all mediums, and enjoy pushing creative boundaries.\nExperience translating concepts into visual communications across a variety of media, including digital, social, collateral, print, broadcast, and corporate communications.\nThe ideal candidate will possess:\nHTML/CSS/Web design experience\nProduct/Marketing experience\nA passion for higher education is a plus. \nPAY RANGE\n$83,040 - $93,420 \nBenefits\nCommon App is a virtual first environment.
