(Delightful Work)\n\nWhat You’ll Do\nHere’s what you’ll do:\nLearn and apply design patterns and coding standards to deploy solutions with team\n\nDevelop awareness of how engineering work supports product and customer needs\n\nDevelop ability to operate in a collaborative environment, both within a team and cross-functionally\n\nParticipate in team standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives\n\nParticipate in code reviews to improve quality and share knowledge\n\nImplement user interface components using React\n\nDevelop and maintain APIs and services using PHP and Python\n\nFamiliarity with database technologies such as MySQL or PostgreSQL\n\nWrite unit and integration tests to validate code functionality\n\nDebug and fix issues reported by users or internal teams\n\nApply security and performance considerations to backend work\n\nUse version control systems (Git) for code collaboration\n\nApply observability and monitoring tools (Datadog) as part of debugging and learning\n\nWork within an Agile development environment\n\nWhat You Bring\nSome of the qualities that help you thrive in this role:\nCurrently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related degree program, specifically as part of a co-operative education program\n\nExperience building software projects in React, PHP, or Python\n\nFamiliarity with relational databases and writing queries\n\nUnderstanding of version control (Git) and collaborative coding workflows\n\nExposure to Agile development practices\n\nInterest in applying AI tools to software development workflows (e.g., GitHub Copilot, automated testing, natural language processing APIs)\n\nAbility to learn quickly and apply new technical concepts\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to writing clean, testable code and the accompanying tests\n\nGood communication skills and willingness to collaborate in a team environment\n\nBonus: Exposure to AI/ML concepts such as model training, inference, and APIs\n\nCompensation & Perks\nWe believe in paying our co-op students fairly for their contributions.
