You'll establish protocols, manage vendors, optimize storage, and lead your team to ensure timely supply of essential goods, directly impacting clinical operations and cost-effectiveness.To be successful, you'll combine strong organizational and logistical expertise with exceptional leadership, a keen eye for process improvement, and meticulous oversight, transforming materials management into a strategic advantage.\nSupervises supply room employees in the proper, receiving, storing, handling and issuing sterile and non-sterile medical equipment and supplies per organizational standards.\nMonitors medical equipment/supplies inventory and utilization levels and orders as needed to ensure adequate availability of patient care and treatment materials.\nSupervises staff conformance with policies and procedures related to the handling, sterilization, cleaning, maintenance, storage, and assembly of patient care supplies, equipment, and instruments.\nAssists in management of supply room staff to include performance management, continual improvement, training and education and communication of updates to policies and procedures.\nJob Requirements\nRequired\nBachelors Other or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree., upon hire and\nMinimum of five (5) years of experience in Materials Management or Accounts Payable within a healthcare organization. and\nThree (3) years’ experience in invoice resolution working with requisitioners, vendors and Accounts Payable.\nWhere You’ll Work\nFounded in 1923, Dignity Health - St. Mary Medical Center is a 389-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in Long Beach, California.
