In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise during the commissioning, implementation, and integration of manufacturing equipment. you'll do:\nProvide technical expertise during the commissioning, implementation, and integration of manufacturing equipment\nSupport Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of equipment\nTroubleshoot mechanical issues and provide solutions to ensure equipment operates efficiently\nCollaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes and improve equipment performance\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing equipment to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve quality.\nConduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve manufacturing issues\nProficient with 3D CAD software\nEnsure compliance with all safety requirements\nCreate and maintain Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)\nUnderstand and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles\nWork with external vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of equipment and materials\nConceptualize and detail new manufacturing equipment for scaled up manufacturing processes\nRun experiments to determine the feasibility of new manufacturing processes and translate those learnings into practical designs\nWhat we're looking for:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field\n5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on manufacturing equipment\n3+ years of manufacturing equipment and tooling design\nStrong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and motion control\nExperience with 3D CAD packages and 2D drawings\nExperience with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of equipment\nUnderstanding of GD&T and its application\nExcellent problem solving and analytical skills\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams\nExperience with commissioning and startup of manufacturing equipment\nBonus points for:\nStrong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and motion control\nExperience with production ramp-up and optimization of manufacturing processes\nExperience with automated equipment and robotics\nMust-have requirements:\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally\nPerform activities such as typing, standing, stooping, and sitting, for extended periods of time\nWillingness to occasionally travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call\nDedication to safety to mitigate hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage, and
