Come connect to your future.\nDue to increased customer demand, CommScope has an open position for a Controls Engineer in Claremont, NC.\nWhat to expect:\nAs a part of our highly collaborative global manufacturing team, this role will design, install, program, and startup control systems, HMI’s, and reporting systems for production lines. Redesign, fix, and repair control systems to improve efficiency. Develop preventative maintenance procedures for production controls. Training of maintenance personnel and supervision of vendor/installation activity.\nYou Will Make an Impact By:\nDeveloping and coding programs for PLC’s, Drives and PC’s in order to control various cable manufacturing processes and report relevant metrics. Design and layout of various electrical control systems associated with cable manufacturing including electrical system checkout and support during installation. Utilize the CAD system to craft and maintain system drawings. Tackle problems associated with the PLC’s, drives, and control systems.\nRelated Education/Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in a related technical curriculum with a minimum of 2 years of experience in design of control systems or controls engineering \nExperience in Allen Bradley & Siemens PLC’s and components.\nStrong project management proficiency and experience with large scale projects. Must be capable of working effectively with vendors and suppliers to resolve process and component issues.
