Responsibilities include product line strategy, roadmap development, pricing, revenue and profitability management, market development, forecasting, portfolio optimization, and product lifecycle management. The position has cross-functional responsibility working with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Customer Service. The position requires the individual to function effectively in a team environment, providing both vision and leadership.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nManage the product life cycle of your respective portfolio.\nAccountability for the product lines P&L, including revenue attainment and margin.\nResponsible for new product launch including defining requirements, establishing pricing, and marketing collateral. Works closely with other functional teams to appropriately prioritize and staff the initiatives to support a new product launch.\nAdvise operations on product demand information including forecast and timing.\nDefine and execute the product lines short- and long-term strategy with input from key stakeholders. Participates in technology and product roadmap development to identify new and/or growth opportunities.\nResearch competitive products and uncover customer needs by attending trade shows, monitoring market-specific publications and social media, and communicating regularly with the sales teams.\nEvaluate product performance relative to market and recommend changes to reduce cost, improve lead-time, improve product performance, and revise promotional strategies.\nSupports sales calls, quotes, bid preparations, and product release in appropriate systems.\nSupport sales related to pricing, forecasting, operational support and delivery; identifying trends to improve service quality, and drive corrective actions as needed.\nAccountability / Impact\nresponsible for the management of a diverse set of products under our Datacenter product line which is focused on providing products to the telecommunications industry as well as related business management .\nCompetencies\n17.
