This role develops and delivers in-house platform systems that support engineering and factory operations. As part of the Integrated Manufacturing Systems (IMS) team, the engineer designs, implements, and supports enterprise-scale software solutions used in manufacturing environments. Work includes customized Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), optical testing software, IoT solutions, big-data applications, Factory 4.0 technologies, and cloud-based platforms including AWS and Azure.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and deliver software solutions supporting factory hardware and manufacturing operations.\nDevelop software applications that support optical testing of fiber-optic products.\nServe as a key contributor within the Integrated Manufacturing Systems team.\nIndependently lead smaller software projects while collaborating effectively on larger team initiatives.\nDrive software quality and continuous improvement through disciplined development practices.\nIdentify and implement innovative solutions while maintaining alignment with long-term business and technical strategies.\nParticipate in technical decision-making and problem-solving activities.\nProvide software and systems support for local manufacturing and production facilities\nAccountability / Impact\nDevelop and support software systems critical to engineering and manufacturing operations.\nContribute to factory automation, optical testing, IoT integration, and cloud-enabled manufacturing solutions.\nDrive software quality, operational reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nSupport production efficiency and business objectives through enterprise-scale software solutions\nCompetencies\nTech Savvy- Anticipating and adopting innovations in business-building digital and technology applications.\nManages Complexity- Making sense of complex, high-quality, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.\nCultivates Innovation - Creating new and better ways for the organization to be successful.\nDrives Results- Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.\nCollaborates- Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.\n Nimble Learning- Actively learning through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning fodder.\nRequired Qualifications for Consideration\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline. \nMinimum 10 years of relevant software engineering experience. \nExperience with optical test equipment or similar devices. \nExperience developing software using C#, Python, C++, or similar programming languages. \nCurrent knowledge of enterprise software development for both on-premises and cloud environments. \nExperience integrating cloud platforms with IoT solutions\nDesirable Qualifications Job Specifications\nExperience with containerized environments, specifically Docker.\nExperience with PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, or other database technologies.\nExperience with fiber-optic technologies and testing.\nWorking knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems\nOur salary ranges consider a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to benchmarking by independent third-party consultants, skill sets, years of experience, training, education, geography, and other business needs. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with exceptional experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance. The expected salary range for this position is $103.000. - $133,000. based on hired level and experience. The candidate will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, life and accidental death insurance, a 401(k) plan, and participation in the Company’s Incentive Plan.
