The Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience while supporting daily front-office operations.\nThe ideal candidate has strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple administrative responsibilities in a healthcare setting.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nFront Office & Patient Experience\nGreet patients and visitors and assist with check-in and check-out.\nAnswer incoming phone calls, take accurate messages, and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members.\nSchedule patient appointments and manage the clinic calendar.\nAssist patients with follow-up appointments and appointment-related questions.\nMaintain a professional, welcoming, and organized reception area.\nInsurance & Administrative Support\nVerify patient insurance eligibility and update insurance information as needed.\nCollect and update patient demographic information in the electronic medical record (EMR).\nAssist with referrals, prior authorizations, and insurance-related inquiries as needed.\nProcess incoming and outgoing faxes and route documents to the appropriate staff.\nScan, upload, and maintain accurate patient records.\nSupport the clinical team with administrative tasks to ensure efficient clinic operations.\nCompliance & Documentation\nMaintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.\nEnsure patient records are accurate, complete, and properly maintained.\nFollow company policies and procedures related to patient privacy and front-office operations.\nOther Duties\nCommunicate effectively with providers, clinical staff, and patients.\nParticipate in training and team meetings as required.\nPerform additional administrative duties as assigned.\nQualifications & Requirements\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nPrevious experience in a medical office, front desk, or healthcare administrative setting preferred.\nFamiliarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred.\nKnowledge of insurance verification and appointment scheduling is an advantage.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.\nProfessional, dependable, and patient-focused attitude.\nAbility to work on-site at the Oakbrook location on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.\nAbout Community Physicians\nCommunity Physicians is a multi-specialty medical group dedicated to providing compassionate, relationship-based care to older adults and patients across outpatient, skilled nursing, and post-acute settings.
