About the role
Join the micro-mobility rollercoaster and be part of our team of superstars to develop a wide range of IoT products for different light electric vehicles!
Your impact:
You'll own the technical direction of Comodule's core firmware platform: power and battery life, data connectivity, and positioning. These are the foundations that bring our hardware to life and that every customer-facing feature is built on.
You'll work day to day with our product manager and electronics engineer, and share the platform with a second senior firmware engineer who owns customer integrations. You each set direction on your own side - with the mandate to make the calls that span both, and never leave the other waiting.
About you
You've owned core embedded systems in production - connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth, power management, or OTA - and you've made them reliable in the field, not just on the bench.
You've designed embedded architecture from the ground up: bootloaders, communication protocols, state management.
You have real opinions on firmware architecture and tooling, and you can commit to a decision that another engineer has to build on top of.
You like working next to hardware people - bringing up a new board and squeezing everything out of it is your idea of a good week.
You treat battery life and stability as features. A device that drops off the network is a bug, even if nothing crashes.
You set high standards for code quality and make them stick through reviews, static analysis, and testing that actually runs.
You'd rather make a call and move on than leave a colleague waiting for an answer.
