You will work closely with Laboratory occupational physicians to provide clinical care, address workplace medical concerns, support employee wellness initiatives, and ensure employees receive appropriate medical evaluation, treatment, and education. Your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining a healthy workforce and supporting mission-critical operations.\nResponsibilities and Duties\nAssist Laboratory occupational physicians in providing occupational health services.\nCarry out medical treatments and clinical evaluations.\nDetermine and arrange appropriate patient dispositions and follow-up care.\nIdentify, assess, and help correct workplace medical issues.\nCounsel and educate employees on occupational and personal health-related matters.\nEvaluate medical data and patient information to resolve a broad range of occupational health concerns.\nCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders regarding employee health matters.\nExercise sound clinical judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques for patient care and workplace health solutions.\nIndependently plan, prioritize, and organize activities to meet established objectives.\nContribute to organizational goals through effective occupational medicine practices and recommendations.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBoard Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).\nLicensed to practice medicine by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners.\nCurrent New Mexico pharmacy license.\nCurrent Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license.\nWorking knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in occupational medicine with 2-5 years of recent clinical experience in occupational medicine; or\nWorking knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in a clinically related field such as family medicine, emergency medicine, urgent care medicine, internal medicine, or sports medicine with 2-5 years of recent clinical experience.\nDemonstrated ability to analyze clinical information and resolve a diverse range of complex healthcare issues.\nAbility to work independently with limited supervision.\nDesired Skills\nStrong occupational health and workplace injury management experience.\nExcellent patient counseling and communication skills.\nExperience educating employees on health and wellness topics.\nAbility to build effective working relationships with physicians, employees, and organizational stakeholders.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nDemonstrated sound clinical judgment and decision-making abilities.\nExperience managing multiple priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.\nEducation and Experience Requirements\nBoard Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) through NCCPA.\nLicensed Physician Assistant in the State of New Mexico.\nCurrent New Mexico pharmacy license and DEA registration.\n2-5 years of recent clinical experience in occupational medicine or a related clinical specialty including family medicine, emergency/urgent care medicine, internal medicine, or sports medicine.\nWhy Work at COMPA Industries?\nWe strive to provide careers, not just jobs, for our employees.
