We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Integration and Validation Engineerto perform various evaluation tasks and acquire and organize data based on test plans to ensure safety and reliability. The ideal candidate will have experience in engineering within the automotive industry. This role will contribute to developing high-performance far-infrared (FIR) camera solutions for the vehicles of the future.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, Integration, maintenance, inspection, and operational management of ADAS systems on test vehicles\nPreparation, execution, data acquisition, and creation of reporting materials based on test plans for test vehicles\nConducting evaluations using test tracks, public roads, and simulation environments, as well as handling on-site technical issues\nSupporting technical communication with design, planning, and regulatory certification departments, external organizations (such as JARI, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and suppliers), as well as overseas offices and partner companies\nLead testing and validation to confirm integrated systems meet performance, safety, quality, and regulatory standards\nEnsure all designs and integration processes comply with automotive industry standards, safety regulations, and internal requirements\nDevelop and maintain detailed documentation for validation procedures and test results\nComparing and analyzing key performance indicators (KPI) for each SW version\nCreating performance evaluation reports\nQualifications:\nMaster's or bachelor's degree with engineering\nPractical experience in testing operations for autonomous driving or ADAS on test tracks or public roads.\nOver 5 years of practical experience in the evaluation of AD/ADAS sensors & ECU systems.\nLeadership and ability to manage challenges\nStrong communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Japanese, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, team members, and management\nSomeone who enjoys working hands-on\nPreferred Qualifications:\nSelf-motivated, competitive, patient, results-driven, and proactive worker\nStrong team player who can collaborate effectively across multiple internal and external stakeholders globally\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment\nExperience in ADAS systems development\nKnowledge of CAN/CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet, LVDS and experience in data acquisition and troubleshooting using analysis tools\nKnowledge of UN R regulations, Japanese safety standards, and type approval processes\nImplementation skills for data processing and test support tools using Python and C/C++\nWhat We Offer:\nA dynamic and collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.\nA competitive compensation package.\nAccess to state-of-the-art tools and technologies available in a supportive and innovative work environment.\nOpportunities to contribute to innovative projects and make a meaningful impact in the automotive industry.\nCompal USA (Indiana) Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing a workplace free from harassment and discrimination.
