exciting opportunity for an experienced Operational Supervisor- Nights to join the management team at Company Shop.\nThe Operations Shift Supervisor- will be pivotal to the success of the Tankersley Distribution Centre.\nThe role will see direct and indirect managerial responsibilities across various teams who are managing the operational activity, with up to 40 staff across the day shift.\nWe are looking for an individual who can demonstrate a solid commitment to delivery whilst adhering to quality, health and safety, food and environmental standards and processes.\nAccountabilities and Responsibilities\nDaily management of a dynamic operational environment that may be impacted by deliveries, systems and processes\nOversee the day-to-day operational activity across all areas including home shopping, chill produce, FLT and warehouse, tray sortation, stock control, goods in/out\nMonitor workflow, identify any potential risk that may impact SLA’s and agree timely corrective action through to resolution\nFlexible, fast and effective re-deployment of staff to meet daily challenges and ensure targets/ customer expectations are fully met\nManagement of staff, to include:\nRegular 121’s, document discussions and follow up actions/ feedback\nAbsence monitoring\nDisciplinary and grievance issues in accordance with Company Shop policies\nRecruitment and onboarding of new staff\nAdhere to all environmental, food safety and quality/ hygiene procedures when undertaking duties\nEnsure Health & Safety instructions and procedures are followed:\nMachinery, equipment, or vehicles used within the work area are maintained, correctly guarded and meet health & Safety requirements\nPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided, used, and stored appropriately\nHealth & Safety issues raised with departmental managers in a timely manner\nRecord/report all accidents and near misses\nReport all hazards, safety shortcomings or anything that could result in serious or imminent danger\nPerform investigations in Health & Safety and compliance breach and deviations from procedures, ensure investigation reports and corrective/preventative actions are closed out\nDrive change and continuous improvement- constantly look at operational improvements, sharing knowledge and lead by example\nColleagues\nEngage your team both within your department and within other departments to support cross functional and positive working relationships\nRegular team briefings, strive to create a team environment through effective communication, motivation, equality, and encouragement\nEmploy a supportive and high performing culture with consistent delivery, through excellent leadership and motivation, that fully utilises and develops your teams’ skills and practices are upheld, whilst proactively encouraging your team to promote a culture of good HSE practice\nActively promote good Health & Safety instructions, initiatives, and training across the site\nRequirements\nProven record of management in a large-scale operation whilst managing a team of staff\nSolid interpersonal skills with an ability to anticipated and rectify potential
