You’ll lead the day-to-day packing operation, support and develop your team, and ensure our products meet the highest standards of food safety, quality and legality.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nLeading the packing operation: Planning daily production, allocating labour, coordinating line activities and ensuring packing targets are achieved.\nFood safety & quality: Maintaining high standards of hygiene, GMP, allergen management, traceability and contamination prevention within a controlled packing environment.\nTechnical compliance: Overseeing labelling, coding, product checks, weight control, packaging integrity and product changeovers, ensuring all products meet the required specifications.\nTeam leadership: Coaching and supporting colleagues, ensuring training is completed and addressing any performance or compliance issues.\nDriving performance: Monitoring output, waste, downtime and product giveaway, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce losses.\nHealth & safety: Ensuring safe working practices, correct use of PPE, machinery checks and cleaning schedules are followed at all times.\nProblem-solving: Investigating non-conformances and process issues, implementing corrective actions and escalating any concerns around product safety, quality or legality.\nYou’ll also maintain accurate production and technical records, ensuring documentation is complete and ready for audit, while working closely with our wider Operations and Technical teams.\nRequirements\nWhat we’re looking for:\nWe’re looking for someone who can combine strong operational leadership with excellent attention to detail and a genuine commitment to food safety.\nYou’ll ideally have:\nExperience in a supervisory or team leadership role within food production, packing or a similar controlled environment.\nA strong working knowledge of food safety, hygiene, GMP, allergen management, traceability and labelling controls.\nThe ability to plan workloads, lead a team and make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.\nExperience working with production or warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office.\nGood communication and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to challenge non-compliant practices and escalate concerns when needed.\nA Level 3 Food Safety qualification, or a willingness to achieve this within an agreed period.\nYou’ll be organised, proactive and comfortable balancing production demands with the technical standards that keep our products and colleagues safe.\nWhat you need to know: This role requires flexibility to meet operational needs, including shift working and working across ambient, chilled and frozen environments, potentially down to -20°C.
