By putting Culture first, we can show this not only produces results, but more importantly, can change lives.\nCompass is recruiting for a VP, Site Operations to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across multiple data center campuses. This leader will drive operational excellence, strengthen onsite cross-functional coordination, support cultural alignment, and help deliver an exceptional customer experience. The Vice President will promote consistent performance, develop site leadership teams, and serve as a key liaison between Site Operations and partners across Delivery, Commissioning, Customer Operations Support, and Customer Success.\nResponsibilities:\nHelp define and execute an operational strategy aligned with company objectives.\nLead continuous improvement and operational initiatives that strengthen efficiency, compliance, and the customer experience.\nEnsure all campuses follow established maintenance schedules, incident management procedures, and change management protocols.\nOversee campus go-live readiness, including operational integration, staffing, and budget alignment.\nMaintain rigorous compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards across all campuses.\nManage site operating budgets to maximize efficiency and promote responsible cost management.\nMonitor campus performance, identify risks and opportunities, and implement corrective actions as needed.\nBuild trusted relationships with customers and internal partners, including Design, Delivery, and Supply Chain.\nMentor and coach site leaders and managers to strengthen technical capabilities, cultural alignment, succession planning, and leadership readiness.\nServe as a strategic liaison between customers and internal teams and as an escalation point for operational issues.\nSkills and Experience:\nStrategic and tactical thinking with the ability to balance long-term planning and day-to-day execution.\nDeep understanding of operational and safety policies, compliance standards, and customer lifecycle management.\nAbility to provide calm, level-headed leadership during high-stress facility incidents.\nFamiliarity with applicable standards and requirements, including NEC and OSHA, and a strong understanding of complex electrical and mechanical systems.\nStrong leadership, mentoring, and coaching capabilities.\nAbility to build collaborative relationships across departments and with customers.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences.\nFluent spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus.\nRequirements:\nExtensive progressive leadership experience in site operations, data center management, or another critical-facilities environment, such as hospitals or manufacturing facilities.\nExperience managing facility incidents that impact critical facilities.\nProven ability to lead multi-site operations and large teams.\nStrong financial acumen and experience managing operational budgets.\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline. A master’s degree is preferred.\nEquivalent professional experience may be considered when paired with thorough technical knowledge of the complex electrical and mechanical systems that support modern data center campuses or other critical facilities.\nAbility to provide leadership outside standard business hours during high-priority situations, including facility incidents and time-sensitive customer RFP support.\nLocation:\nDallas, Texas\nEmployer will not sponsor applicants for new employment visa status.\nDisclaimer:\nCompass is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
