This role serves as the primary financial leader for the account, providing strategic guidance, financial analysis, compliance oversight, and operational support to ensure strong fiscal performance and sound business decision-making.\nThe Controller partners closely with operational leadership to manage budgets, forecasts, financial reporting, internal controls, and client financial commitments. This position is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic hospitality environment and is passionate about driving accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\nOversee all financial aspects of the World Bank account, including accounting, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.\nLead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.\nPrepare, analyze, and present monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and operating metrics.\nMonitor revenue, labor, food costs, and operating expenses to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.\nPartner with operational leadership to develop annual budgets and ongoing financial forecasts.\nReview and reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve accounting discrepancies.\nManage cash controls, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and POS reporting activities.\nOversee client billing processes and ensure accurate and timely invoicing.\nEnsure compliance with company financial policies, accounting standards, and client contractual requirements.\nSupport external and internal audits and coordinate responses to audit findings.\nPrepare and review sales tax and other regulatory filings as required.\nDevelop, maintain, and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets.\nProvide financial guidance and recommendations to account leadership to support strategic decision-making.\nLead special projects, financial modeling, and process improvement initiatives.\nMentor and support finance and administrative team members as needed.\nWhat We're Looking For\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\nProgressive accounting and financial management experience, preferably within hospitality, foodservice, contract dining, retail, or multi-unit operations.\nStrong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.\nExperience managing profit and loss statements and balance sheet reconciliations.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.\nDemonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across operational and corporate teams.\nExperience in hospitality, foodservice, contract dining, catering, or restaurant operations.\nExperience working with POS systems, cash management, and credit card reconciliation processes.\nFamiliarity with ERP and accounting platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics GP, NetSuite, SAP, or similar systems.\nCPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification is a plus.\nExperience supporting client-facing financial reporting and contract management environments.\nApply to Restaurant Associates today!\nRestaurant Associates is a member of Compass Group USA\nClick here to Learn More about the Compass Story\nCompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
