If that sounds like you, then you’re looking for us, and we’re looking for you.\nJob Summary\nThe Lead Technology Advocate oversees the daily operation, coordination, execution, and support of the audiovisual systems and requirements of executive, educational, and routine meetings in a fast-paced, customer service focused conference center environment.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOversees testing, maintenance, asset management, operation, and tear down of audiovisual (AV) and videoconference (VTC) equipment; (e.g., video data projection systems, computers, audio- and videoconference equipment, microphones, video cameras, audio systems, and operation of integrated AV systems).\nProvides best effort assistance to fulfill any audiovisual technical requirements as assigned.\nProvides a monthly report containing room usage data, open action items, equipment maintenance, and upcoming preventive maintenance schedules.\nMaintains the process used to create trouble tickets, customer issue resolution logs, and asset management. \nExecutes all aspects of videoconference support including call set up, end user training, troubleshooting, and follow through on escalation of issues.\nProvides consultation and education to all levels of end users on presentation technologies.\nTroubleshoots audiovisual and videoconferencing related technology (various projectors, control systems, audio and videoconferencing).\nMaintains conference room integrity.\nPerforms regular preventive maintenance checks (e.g., either report or address issues such as cable management issues, safety standards noncompliance, etc.).\nEscalates housekeeping and technical issues outside of AV and conferencing technology and applications to appropriate department. \nMaintains understanding of current and new presentation technology.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent a must\nThree to five years audiovisual technology management experience\nThree to five years AV and presentation technologies experience\nThree to five years customer service experience\nThorough working knowledge of the operation and troubleshooting of AV and videoconferencing related technology\nStrong customer service and communications skills required\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Lync, PowerPoint, Outlook)\nAbility to facilitate tasks with internal and external staff to assure meeting and event success\nUnderstanding of normal business and office procedures\nExperience working in a fast paced university/conference center environment\nSelf-motivated independent thinker\nA CTS certification by InfoComm\nIndustry relevant training or technical courses a plus\nBasic familiarity with commercial/institutional building design and construction, including understanding of typical building systems (i.e. HVAC, electrical, lighting, building controls, security, etc.)\nClick here to Learn More about the Compass Story\nAssociates at Waveguide are offered many fantastic benefits.\nMedical\nDental\nVision\nLife Insurance/ AD\nDisability Insurance\nRetirement Plan\nPaid Time Off\nPaid Parental Leave\nHoliday Time Off (varies by site/state)\nPersonal Leave\nAssociate Shopping Program\nHealth and Wellness Programs\nDiscount Marketplace\nIdentity Theft Protection\nPet Insurance\nCommuter Benefits\nEmployee Assistance Program\nFlexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)\nAssociates may also be eligible for paid and/or unpaid time off benefits in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
