You will work closely with the product teams, customers, and stakeholders to ensure Financial Data Services products meet our business's needs and expectations. You will also collaborate with other product owners, technical and data resources, and business owners to align the product portfolio with the enterprise strategy.\n*Please note, this is a hybrid position in Charlotte. The typical days in office are Tues-Thursday but can vary dependent on business need.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and maintain deep expertise in the owned data product and business domain, serving as the primary source of knowledge and support for the broader project team and key stakeholders.\nDevelop a strong understanding of the financial processes, data domains, and downstream use cases supported by the product and facilitate decisions across disparate user groups.\nPartner with the Product Manager to contribute to the product vision and strategic roadmap\nCollaborate with the product management layer to thoroughly understand features for execution, ensuring they meet data quality, performance, usability, governance, and security standards.\nDevelop, scope, and define backlog items that guide the product team.\nCreate, manage, and validate user stories with the product team to ensure they meet the definition of being ready before each iteration.\nStrong leadership and decision-making abilities with a focus on delivering business value and user-centric solutions.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.\nLead agile team to manage and prioritize the team backlog\nPartner with Coaches to remove impediments for the Agile team and to model agile practices\nKeep leadership up to date on team progress, risks, and impediments.\nFunction as primary liaison between business stakeholders, data engineering, analytics engineering, architecture, vendors, other cross-functional teams, and downstream consumers.\nProvide quality advice on functionality and ensure well-thought-through analysis and deliverables. \nConnect with the customer to validate data product design and business intent based on features provided by the product management team, execute system and solution demos, and ensure business value delivery.\nAssist the Product Manager with leading continuous improvement and best practice initiatives.\nDevelop strong business relationships, influence stakeholders, and partner with others to develop superior solutions.\nParticipate in SAFe Agile ceremonies, such as PI planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, etc.\nProvide coaching and mentoring to the development teams on SAFe Agile principles and practices.\nCoordinate with other product teams for end-to-end and downstream solution validation testing.\n Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or computer sciences, preferred\n3-5 years of Accounting/Finance experience preferred, preferably in customer-to-cash, procure to pay, or record-to-report value chains.\nExperience with enterprise financial data and SAP, specifically FI, SD, MM, IM, EWM, AM, AP, AR, CO or PCA modules; S/4HANA experience a plus.\n3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner.\nStrong knowledge and experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).\nExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.\nProven ability to define and deliver products that meet customer needs and expectations and achieve business goals and objectives.\nStrong analytical and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate technical and process information effectively to business and IT stakeholders. \nExperience with the tools and technologies, such as ADO and Miro.\nCertification as a SAFe Agile Product Owner or SAFe Agile Practitioner is a plus.\nPerforms analysis and critical thinking required to troubleshoot application-related issues and assist in the resolution.\nApply to Compass Group today!\nClick here to Learn More about the Compass Story\nCompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
