We at Levy are partnering with the Rose Quarter to create a shared vision of elevated and inclusive hospitality that proudly embodies Portland’s unique food story.\nJob Summary\nWhile no two events are quite the same, here’s what you can expect as a Purchasing Clerk -\nProcess vendor invoices accurately and ensure timely payment in compliance with company policies and payment terms.\nCreate, maintain, and follow up on purchase orders and backorders.\nReconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and verify pricing, quantities, and receiving documentation before payment.\nCommunicate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, purchase orders, pricing, credits, returns, rebates, and account inquiries.\nBuild productive relationships with vendors and internal departments.\nResolve invoice, receiving, and purchasing discrepancies through effective problem-solving.\nReceive, inspect, and distribute deliveries; fulfill internal product requests as needed.\nMaintain accurate electronic and physical purchasing, accounting, and vendor records, including W-9s and certificates of insurance.\nEnter, update, and maintain purchasing and accounts payable data in BirchStreet or related systems.\nPrepare reports, spreadsheets, and other documentation using Microsoft Office.\nSupport month-end closing activities related to purchasing and accounts payable\nCollaborate with Finance, Warehouse, Operations, and other departments to ensure efficient purchasing and payment processes.\nAssist with inventory purchases and emergency sourcing when required.\nEnsure compliance with purchasing policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.\nIdentify process improvement opportunities and perform other duties as assigned.\nMaintain confidentiality of financial and vendor information.\n THE PERFECT MATCH\nWe might be a great match if the below applies to you -\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.\nStrong mathematical aptitude, attention to detail, and organizational skills.\nExcellent time management, multitasking, written, and verbal communication abilities.\nDemonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience with BirchStreet or other procurement/ERP systems preferred.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds when receiving, organizing, or moving inventory and supplies\n-\nAuthentic Levy is the phrase that describes the power and uniqueness of Levy’s Vision, Mission, and Family Values in action.
