This is a hands-on position requiring a positive attitude, excellent organizational and communication skills, clear understanding of relationship building and branding, the ability to work in a collaborative team environment, the talent to create compelling and appropriate design solutions, and the discipline to execute multiple projects simultaneously.\nSpecific Responsibilities Include:\nContent Creation & Storytelling\nDraft and produce written and visual content across formats, including blogs, emails, social media, newsletters, flyers, postcards, invitations, signage, presentations, and reports, that reflect Compass Family Services’ voice and values.\nTake, select, and edit photographs for use across communications channels, maintaining organized photo libraries.\nCompile and distribute the monthly client newsletter in collaboration with program staff.\nAssist in identifying opportunities to improve language accessibility across communications materials and platforms.\nDigital Communications Maintenance\nMaintain and update Compass’ primary communications channels, including the website, email platform, and social media accounts, ensuring content is accurate, current, and aligned with the organization’s voice and values.\nMaintain the communications calendar, ensuring deadlines and key dates are tracked and shared with relevant team members.\nAssist with the management of the Google Ads account, including monitoring performance and implementing updates as directed.\nCoordinate with internal stakeholders across teams to gather content, ensure alignment, and support timely dissemination of communications.\nAnalytics & Reporting\nTrack and compile web and social media analytics, providing regular reports and insights to inform ongoing communications efforts.\nBrand Management\nApply Compass Family Services’ brand guidelines consistently across all materials and platforms, ensuring visual and messaging consistency.\nSupport the organization and distribution of brand assets, including photos, logos, and templates, for internal teams and external partners.\nMedia Relations\nSupport media relations efforts by maintaining media lists, tracking coverage, and assisting with coordination of media inquiries and interview logistics.\nHelp identify and track opportunities for external visibility, including events, panels, and community engagements for Compass leadership.\nSocial Media\nExecute day-to-day social media management, including scheduling and publishing posts across platforms, maintaining a social media content calendar, and creating engaging, platform-appropriate social media content.\nEngage with Compass’ online community by responding to comments, liking posts, and amplifying relevant content.\nMonitor and report on social media performance metrics and trends.\nQualifications:\nOne to two years of work experience in Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.\nExceptional writing and grammar skills with the ability to write clearly and persuasively.\nAn eye for design and experience creating branded collateral (flyers, reports, social media graphics, etc.).\nExperience with Wix, Salesforce, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Meltwater, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and SEO preferred.\nExperience creating professional social media and web content preferred.\nDemonstrated understanding of the challenges facing homeless and low-income families and passion for supporting families to achieve stability.\nDemonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging work.\nLocation details:\n Fully in-person for the first three months. Afterward, eligible for up to one remote day per week with manager approval, subject to team needs and excluding short weeks and peak periods.\nCompensation and Benefits:\nSalary: $34 - $37 hourly, equivalent to $66-72k annually based on a 37.5 hour work week\nPaid time off: 4 weeks of vacation your first year, 5 in your second. Also paid holidays, sick time, family leave.\nInsurance: health, dental and vision insurance are fully covered by Compass for employees and dependent children.
