Full time on site.\nOrganizational Core Competencies: Accountable / Adaptable / Client-centered / Collaborative / Committed to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging / Resourceful\nPosition Overview: The Development Operations Manager is responsible for managing the systems, processes, and data that support Compass Family Services’ fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This role ensures accurate and timely gift processing, reliable database management, effective reporting, and strong operational support for the Development team.\nThe Development Operations Manager serves as the primary administrator and internal resource for the Development team’s CRM and is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of donor and fundraising data. The Manager works closely with Finance to ensure gifts are accurately recorded and reconciled and partners with colleagues across teams to improve workflows, maintain strong systems, and support a seamless donor experience.\nThis position is ideal for someone who is highly organized and detail-oriented, enjoys working with data and systems, and is motivated by finding ways to make processes more accurate, efficient, and useful for the entire team.\nSpecificResponsibilities Include:\n Gift Processing:\nProcess all contributions to Compass by doing the following: \nEnter all contributions accurately and completely into the Salesforce donor database. \nLog checks into the Development/Finance check log and communicate information on new gifts to the team. \nFor complex gifts, compile all relevant information from all sources (commitment letters, EFT transfers, email communications, etc.) and ensure it is accurately captured in the Salesforce opportunity record. \nProcess matching gifts \nCoordinate with Finance, including monthly revenue reconciliation reporting and resolution of discrepancies. \nGenerate timely, accurate, and personalized acknowledgement letters for all donors. \nMaintain accurate and complete donor, gift, pledge, and prospect records in Salesforce. \nDatabase Management & Reporting:\nServe as the Development team's primary resource for Salesforce, maintaining data integrity and consistent database practices. \nCreate and maintain reports, dashboards, lists, and other data tools to support fundraising strategy, donor stewardship, campaigns, and team planning. \nIdentify opportunities to improve Development systems, workflows, and data-management processes. \nCoordinate with the Salesforce Administrator and consultant to ensure Development database needs are being met. \nOther Responsibilities:\nPlan and manage logistics of annual fund and other mailings. \nAssist with events as needed \nAssist with In-Kind deliveries as needed. \nResearch funding opportunities and perform donor screenings and research.\nQualifications:\n3+ years of experience in development operations, nonprofit administration, database management, gift processing, or a related field. \nExperience managing donor databases/CRMs; Salesforce experience strongly preferred. \nExperience with gift processing, reconciliation, and maintaining accurate donor and financial records. \nStrong proficiency in data management, reporting, spreadsheets, and database systems, with the ability to translate data into useful information for colleagues and leadership. \nHighly organized and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex systems and processes internally and communicate professionally and effectively with donors and external partners. \nProactive, collaborative self-starter with an interest in improving systems and processes. \nCommitment to Compass Family Services’ mission, the well-being of children and families, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. \nAbility to lift 25 lbs. or more. \nCompensation and Benefits:\nSalary: $77,000 - $87,000 annually\nPaid time off: 4 weeks of vacation your first year, 5 in your second. Also paid holidays, sick time, family leave.\nInsurance: health, dental and vision insurance are fully covered by Compass for employees and dependent children.
