And we’d like you to be part of it.\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking a proactive and reliable School Site Manager to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring our school building, grounds and facilities are safe, well-maintained, and compliant - creating a secure and positive environment for all of our pupils, staff and visitors.\nHours:37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to support occasional evenings, weekends and emergency call-outs as required.\nKey Responsibilities\nCarry out day-to-day repairs and maintenance (basic carpentry, plumbing, painting).\nConduct routine inspections and respond promptly to maintenance issues.\nSupport health and safety compliance, including fire safety and water hygiene checks.\nMaintain external areas such as playgrounds, paths and car parks.\nAssist with site security, opening/closing procedures and emergency responses.\nLog completed works and assist with audits and inspections.\nProvide support for school activities and liaise courteously with staff, pupils and visitors.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nPractical experience in building maintenance, caretaking or facilities work.\nGood knowledge of health and safety regulations.\nAbility to carry out minor repairs safely and competently.\nStrong communication skills and ability to work independently.\nFlexible, trustworthy and a child-focused approach.\nDesirable:\nExperience in a school or education setting.\nBasic trade qualifications (or NVQs).\nFamiliarity with fire safety and water hygiene procedures.\nRequirements:\nFull UK driving licence.\nWillingness to undergo DBS checks.\nBasic IT skills - for logging jobs and emails.\nWhy Join Us?\nThis is a unique opportunity to become the inaugural Site Manager of a brand new Compass School, helping to shape an exceptional learning environment from the first day that our pupils enter the school.
