Integrity, Courage and Care shape how we work. We listen deeply, challenge each other and fixing what needs fixing, together.\nThis is the work. And we’d like you to be part of it.\nWho we are\nCompass Community Schools is proud to announce the opening of a brand new school in Newton-le-Willows, set to welcome its first pupils in January 2027.\nThis exciting new provision reflects Compass Community Schools’ ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, inclusive education for children and young people with special educational needs - in a nurturing and supportive environment.\n Our children come from a wide range of backgrounds but all have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) - and many will also have other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD and communication difficulties. Many of our pupils will have suffered significant trauma and adverse childhood experiences; and may have social care involvement.\nThe work we do is both varied and challenging and, as a trauma and attachment-informed organisation, all staff are provided with extensive therapeutic training and support to ensure they understand the needs of each of our learners - and treat each with a high level of dignity and respect.\nOur closely triangulated approach places the child at the centre of our decision-making - ensuring that education and therapy professionals, parents/carers, local authority teams and, most importantly, our students - can work together to secure outstanding outcomes for all.\nThe Role\nTeaching Assistants at our school know that no two days are the same and that no two children are the same either. Our children require very special adults who can support children with complex and challenging behaviours.\nTAs in our schools will understand that our children require lots of attention, just the right level of communication, consistency and flexibility, and a non-judgemental approach.\nThey need to be resilient, persistent and solution focussed - to meet the needs of our pupils - and, to do so, they need to wear a lot of hats and be prepared to change them at a moment’s notice!\nWe are also able to provide a separate contract for those who are also willing to undertake lunchtime supervision duties - alongside other members of the teaching team over the lunchtime period - that is equivalent to an extra £1500 per annum.\nOur Teaching Assistants will\nSupport teaching and learning \nWork with children 1:1 and deliver sessions with small groups of students\nManage classroom resources\nTake children on educational trips and visits\nHave their lunch with children who struggle socially\nHave a good basic understanding or English and Maths\nKeep children safe when they are experiencing heightened behaviours with strong behaviour management skills and excellent communication\nCreate, play and teach games to pupils to develop their social skills or further learning\nCreate amazing displays which support teaching and create an exceptional learning environment\nCelebrate success\nParticipate in therapeutic training sessions or reflecting on difficult periods\nOur TAs are highly valued members of our team. We want our TAs to be part of the decision making that drives our school, provide exceptional outcomes for children and be strong advocates for every child. We welcome their input in developing both the academic curriculum and the opportunities that form part of our extra-curricular offer - bringing their own interests and passions to the table.\nBenefits and Rewards\nThe opportunity to develop and grow your career within Compass Community\nCompetitive salary\nExtensive training and professional qualification opportunities\nSmall class sizes with specialist TA support\nThe chance to be part of an expanding, national organisation that recognises skill, effort and potential and grows its own leadership teams\nFlexible pension\nRegular therapeutic and supportive supervision\nEmployee benefit service with access to wellbeing services, salary sacrifice schemes [AH1] \nWe regularly review applications and reserve the right to close an advert early if we identify suitable candidates.\nSafeguarding\nCompass Community Schools are highly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff will be expected to hold or be willing to obtain Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services(previously the Criminal Records Bureau) and undergo due diligence checks on social media use.\nAll school-based staff have the responsibility for promoting the safeguarding and welfare of children. All school staff should be aware of the school’s Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy and work in accordance with this document at all times.\nCompass is an equal-opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. As we continue to grow, we know that we must have the most talented employees with diverse backgrounds, cultures, perspectives, and experiences to support our children and young people.\nIf you wish to come to meet the Executive Headteacher and learn more about Compass Schools - and CCS Randall Park in particular - you are welcome to come to our temporary offices - located at Unit 26, The Bold Business Centre, Bold Lane, St Helens at 16:00 on either Friday 18th September or Tuesday 29th September.\nTo book on to either of these, please contact the Executive Headteacher Anthony on ","description_format":"text","description_chars":5655,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"All levels","optional":false}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-09T00:33:40Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":72,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.796,"p_room":0.9,"age_days":19,"expected_fill_days":32,"reasons":["conf:2","wave","win:mid"],"computed_at":"2026-10-13T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/compassfostering-teaching-assistant-6","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/compassfostering-teaching-assistant-6.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-13T12:02:55Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":18769,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-14T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":4372538},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=4372538"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fcompassfostering-teaching-assistant-6"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fcompassfostering-teaching-assistant-6"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fcompassfostering-teaching-assistant-6"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/compassfostering-teaching-assistant-6\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fcompassfostering-teaching-assistant-6"}]}
