The incumbent manages assigned accounting work using established procedures, maintains client records and deadlines, supports consistent service delivery, and escalates complex accounting, client service, or consultation matters appropriately.\nA typical day: \nDelivers assigned accounting services and client-ready financial information for established client relationships.\nManages recurring accounting work, deadlines, open items, and work needed for tax planning, preparation, and form filings.\nMaintains quality, documentation, and client follow-through consistent with standards, policy, and service expectations.\nBuilds client relationships by explaining accounting information and how it supports business decisions, tax planning, and financial management; escalates complex client or technical needs.\nSupports client retention, service expansion, referrals, and new-client growth with internal partners.\nApplies accounting, system, and process knowledge to support efficient service delivery and improvement efforts.\nShares knowledge and supports training for interns, seasonal team members, or newer team members.\nThe skills and experience we prefer you have: \nSolid knowledge of routine accounting practices, accounting systems, and financial information.\nConsistent delivery of accurate, timely assigned work using sound professional judgment and appropriate confidentiality practices.\nClear communication of routine accounting information and appropriate escalation of complex client or technical needs.\nStrong organization, documentation, deadline-management, and client-service skills.\nWorking knowledge of Compeer’s Tax & Accounting services and related products and services sufficient to identify client needs, explain available support, and make appropriate referrals.\nSolid technical proficiency in accounting preparation, accounting systems, and financial reporting practices.\nClear written and verbal communication skills, including communicating accounting information to clients and internal partners.\nStrong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and deadline management.\nSound ethical and professional judgment and appropriate handling of confidential information.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and accounting software.\nEffective independent work and collaboration with team members and internal partners.\nWorking knowledge of Compeer’s Tax & Accounting services and related offerings sufficient to identify client needs and make appropriate referrals.\nWorking knowledge of agricultural accounting; agricultural accounting experience preferred.Associate’s degree in business administration, accounting or agricultural business or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.\nMinimum of two years of experience in accounting, record keeping, payroll processing, agricultural accounting, client services, or related financial work preferred.\nExperience using accounting software, document-management tools, and Microsoft Office applications.\nValid Driver's license.\nHow we will take care of you:\nOur job titles may span more than one career level (associate, senior, principal, etc.). The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.
