Responsibilities\nTechnical Leadership & Architecture\nOwn the end-to-end technical direction across web, mobile, and backend.\nDrive pragmatic decisions around modular monolith vs microservices (boundaries,\nintegration patterns, consistency tradeoffs).\nApply DDD to create clear domain boundaries (bounded contexts, aggregates, domain\nevents).\nSet standards for code quality, testing, API contracts, and documentation across the\nteam.\nDelivery & Collaboration with Product\nPartner closely with Product Owners and Project Managers to:\nclarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and reduce ambiguity\nbreak epics into deliverable slices and estimate work realistically\nplan sprints/releases and manage dependencies and risks\nbalance product speed with technical sustainability (tech debt, refactors, platform\nwork)\nProvide engineering input into prioritisation, timelines, and tradeoffs.\nTeam Leadership & Mentorship\nLead and mentor engineers through pairing, design reviews, code reviews, and\ncoaching.\nBuild a strong engineering culture around ownership, quality, and continuous\nimprovement.\nSupport hiring and onboarding as the team grows.\nFront-End (Web + Mobile)\nLead development of high-quality experiences on web (React/Next.js) and mobile\n(React Native).\nGuide choices around state management, performance, component architecture, and\ncross-platform consistency.\nEnsure UI quality: responsive design, accessibility (web), and mobile UX polish\n(navigation, device differences).\nBackend & Data\nOwn backend design and implementation in .NET Core, including API design and\nsecurity basics.\nDrive database design and performance (schema design, migrations, indexing, query\noptimisation).\nImplement resilient patterns: retries/timeouts, idempotency, background processing, and\nobservability foundations.\nRequired Qualifications\nStrong full-stack experience shipping production products across frontend + backend\n(mobile experience required).\nPrior experience as a senior engineer/lead with clear ownership of delivery and\nmentorship.\nStrong system design skills and ability to communicate tradeoffs clearly.\nDemonstrated architectural competence in:\nDDD (practical application)\nModular monolith design (clear boundaries, dependency discipline)\nMicroservices understanding (when/how to split, data ownership, failure modes)\nSolid database fundamentals (relational DB design, migrations, performance tuning).\nStrong collaboration skills with Product Owners and Project Managers.\nKey
