You will be responsible for ensuring smooth purchasing transactions, accurate system entry, and effective communication with vendors, sales, and internal teams.\nKey Responsibilities:\nCommunicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth transactions and excellent service\nRespond to inquiries on specs, pricing, and lead times from Sales and Customer Service teams\nCollaborate with vendors to obtain product details and resolve order-related issues\nVerify specifications and purchase requests from internal teams\nProcess purchase orders, including those from stock-out vendors\nCoordinate expedited orders, arrange freight, and track shipments\nMaintain relationships and manage purchasing for a small group of assigned vendors\nRun and analyze purchasing metrics (e.g., fill rate, GMROI, aged inventory) to support strategy\nMonitor inventory trends and share insights with Supply Chain and Sales teams\nTroubleshoot issues with pricing, POs, requisitions, and deliveries\nResolve supplier quality concerns; coordinate with Accounts Payable and Distribution Centers\nVerify supplier invoices and resolve discrepancies in pricing or freight charges\nMaintain product documentation (e.g., SDS, tech sheets, certificates of analysis)\nDevelop and deliver inventory and purchasing control reports\nUpdate system costs due to price or freight changes and notify relevant teams\nExpected Skills and Qualifications:\nA minimum of 2 or more years of experience with purchasing/inventory management in a sales/distribution environment, including experience in supply chain, distribution, warehouse, and/or logistics sectors\nKnowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials\nGeneral understanding of standard Supply Chain management processes related to inventory management and procurement\nBasic understanding of transportation and logistics and associated safety and documentation requirements, and the distribution process work flow\nAbility to conduct studies, analyze, and interpret statistical data, and make recommendations and decisions\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nProficiency using MS Office software to effectively execute work tasks, including Excel and Word; ability to learn internal database and software systems\nHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent\nPreferred Skills & Qualifications:\nPrior experience with SAP\nExperience in the Aerospace industry\nBachelor's Degree\nPre-Employment Requirement:\nEmployment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
