Primary responsibilities include welcoming patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, completing patient registration, verifying insurance information and supporting the clinical team.\nThis position is a strong fit for someone who enjoys helping people, communicates professionally and can manage multiple priorities in a busy clinic environment.\nResponsibilities\nWelcome patients, families and visitors and assist with check-in\nAnswer incoming calls and respond to patient questions professionally\nSchedule, confirm and coordinate patient appointments\nEnter and update patient demographics and insurance information\nVerify insurance coverage and communicate patient financial responsibilities\nCollect required consent forms, HIPAA acknowledgments and other patient documentation\nCoordinate patient flow and help clinicians remain on schedule\nScan, organize and maintain accurate patient records\nAssist with routine billing and administrative responsibilities\nCommunicate with referral sources and internal departments\nMaintain an organized, professional and welcoming front-office environment\nProvide consistent administrative support to the Champaign clinic team\nRequired Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nStrong customer-service and communication skills\nExcellent organization and attention to detail\nAbility to manage several responsibilities in a fast-paced environment\nComfort using computers, office equipment and data-entry systems\nDependable attendance and availability to work the complete Monday-Friday day-shift schedule\nAbility to work on-site at our Champaign clinic\nAuthorization to work in the United States\n Preferred Qualifications\nAt least one year of front-desk, administrative or patient-service experience\nExperience in a medical, dental, physical therapy, chiropractic or other outpatient setting\nExperience with patient scheduling, registration or insurance verification\nFamiliarity with electronic health record or patient-management systems\nKnowledge of medical terminology\nHealthcare experience is preferred but not required.
