We are growing fast across multiple offices, field sites, and a manufacturing plant. Our IT infrastructure is managed by an outside partner, and we are adding our first in-house IT team member to be the bridge between our people and that partner.\nThe IT Coordinator is the go-to person for IT at Compu Dynamics. This role owns our relationship with our managed service provider (MSP), handles hands-on support for employees, and keeps our devices, accounts, and software organized. The IT Coordinator works directly with the CFO and gains broad exposure to the business systems that run a growing construction company.\nEssential Functions\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nMSP & Vendor Management\nServe as the primary point of contact with our MSP: open, prioritize, and follow up on tickets; escalate issues; and hold the MSP to agreed service levels.\nTrack software subscriptions and renewals, and flag cost savings.\nEnd-User Support\nProvide first-line, in-person support for hardware, software, printers, phones, conference rooms, and network connectivity.\nCoordinate user access and basic support for business applications such as NetSuite, Procore, and Concur.\nTravel occasionally to other offices, job sites, or our plant for setups and support.\nOnboarding, Offboarding & Account Administration\nRun employee onboarding and offboarding: accounts, licenses, laptops, phones, and access to business systems.\nAdminister Microsoft 365 day to day: users, groups, mailboxes, licenses, Teams, and SharePoint permissions.\nAsset & License Management\nMaintain an accurate inventory of laptops, phones, peripherals, and software licenses, including purchasing, setup, and returns.\n Security, Compliance & Documentation\nSupport security and compliance work with the MSP: MFA, device updates, security awareness training, and evidence gathering for audits (e.g., SOC 2).\nWrite simple how-to guides and keep IT documentation current.\nSuccess Factors and Company Values\nProfessionalism: Represents IT with a responsive, customer-first approach and explains technical issues clearly to non-technical employees.\nExceeding Expectations: Follows every ticket through to resolution, holds the MSP to agreed service levels, and looks for ways to improve and save costs.\nMutual Respect: Treats every support request as important, from the field to the executive team, and builds a strong working partnership with the MSP.\nIntegrity: Protects company data and access, keeps inventory and license records accurate, and handles sensitive information with discretion.\nSafety: Follows all site safety rules and PPE requirements on job site and plant visits, and supports a secure IT environment through MFA, updates, and security training.\nSupervisory Responsibility\nThere are no supervisory responsibilities with this role.\nWork Environment\nThis job operates primarily in an office environment at our Chantilly, VA headquarters, with occasional visits to other offices, job sites, and our manufacturing plant. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, etc., along with IT hardware and tools. Job site and plant visits require adherence to site safety rules and PPE.\nPhysical Demands\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit, including as a driver or passenger of an automobile; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; kneel or crouch to set up equipment; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move IT equipment and supplies, up to 50 pounds.\nPosition Type\nThis is a full-time, on-site position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, with occasional after-hours work as needed for setups, outages, or support.\nRequired Education and Experience\n2 to 4 years of experience in help desk, desktop support, or at an MSP.\nHands-on Microsoft 365 and Windows 10/11 experience.\nWorking knowledge of networking basics (Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP), printers, and peripherals.\nExperience working in a ticketing system and managing issues through to resolution.\nStrong communication and customer service skills; able to explain technical issues to non-technical people.\nOrganized, dependable, and comfortable owning a vendor relationship.\nValid driver's license and ability to lift 50 lbs.\nPreferred Education and Experience\nEntra ID (Azure AD) and Intune experience.\nCompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+; Microsoft 365 Endpoint Administrator certification.\nExperience in construction, engineering, or a multi-site business.\nExposure to ERP or project management systems (NetSuite, Procore, or similar).\nBasic scripting (PowerShell) or automation.\nTravel\nOccasional travel is required to other offices, job sites, and our manufacturing plant for setups and support.\nCompu Dynamics Pay Range\n$62,000—$75,000 USD\nCompu Dynamics offers a comprehensive benefits package that supports the health, well-being, and growth of our team members.
