As North America’s premier technology infrastructure design-build partner, we design, construct, and maintain mission-critical data centers for some of the world’s most innovative companies. With roots in one of the fastest-growing data center markets in the world, our growth is as intentional as our impact.\nPosition Summary\nThe Partner Development Manager builds, expands, and maintains Compu Dynamics' national network of subcontractor and vendor partners, with a focus on primary data center markets such as Northern Virginia/Ashburn, Dallas-Fort Worth, Phoenix, and other growing hubs. This means growing the partner bench, expanding into new regional markets as the business grows, and strengthening the relationships we already have. The goal is simple: make sure that when a bid lands in a given market, we already have qualified, vetted partners in place across every trade, rather than scrambling to find them.\nYou will own the full partner relationship, from finding and qualifying new partners to developing those relationships and tracking how partners perform over time. You will work closely with our Sales, Estimating, and Operations teams, and stay ahead of upcoming work so partners are ready before bids are due.\nEssential Functions\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nPartner Identification & Market Coverage\nMap Compu Dynamics' active and target markets against the current partner bench to identify geographic and trade gaps, prioritizing primary data center cities.\nProactively source, research, and prospect new subcontractor partners in markets where the company bids or anticipates bidding.\nMaintain a live coverage map showing, by market and by trade, where the company has depth, single-source exposure, or no coverage at all.\nAttend industry events, trade associations, and regional networking to build a pipeline of prospective partners ahead of demand.\nTrade Coverage & Gap Filling\nEnsure at least two to three qualified partners per critical trade in each priority market, including electrical, mechanical/HVAC, fire protection, structural/steel, controls/BMS, plumbing, low-voltage, and specialty data center scopes.\nTrack single-source and no-source trades as active risks and drive them to resolution.\nRapidly source and qualify new partners when a bid surfaces a trade or market with no existing coverage.\nEstimating & Bid Support\nServe as the estimating team's go-to resource when a bid requires partner coverage in a specific market or trade.\nFeed the daily bid huddle process, surfacing available partners, flagging gaps, and taking ownership of “no sub identified” and “sub not responding” action items with clear owners and dates.\nTurn recurring bid-time gaps into permanent additions to the partner bench, so the same scramble does not repeat on the next bid.\nPartner with estimators and operations to confirm that identified partners can realistically price and perform the scope and schedule in question.\nVetting, Prequalification & Compliance\nOwn the partner qualification and prequalification process: financial stability, bonding capacity, licensing, safety record (EMR/OSHA), references, and relevant data center / mission-critical experience.\nVerify and maintain current insurance certificates, licenses, and compliance documentation, coordinating with risk/legal as needed.\nMaintain a clean, current partner database as the single source of truth on qualification status, coverage, and contacts.\nRelationship Development & Management\nBuild and sustain trusted, long-term relationships with partner principals and key contacts, not just transactional, bid-by-bid contact.\nServe as the primary relationship owner and point of escalation between Compu Dynamics and its partners.\nConduct regular check-ins with priority partners to understand their capacity, appetite, geographic reach, and evolving capabilities.\nRepresent Compu Dynamics as a contractor of choice, ensuring partners prioritize the company's bids and projects.\nPerformance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement\nTrack partner performance across bids and projects: responsiveness, pricing competitiveness, quality, schedule reliability, and safety.\nMaintain performance history and feedback loops with estimating and operations to inform which partners are prioritized on future work.\nAddress underperformance directly and manage partners on and off the active bench as warranted.\nReport regularly to leadership on network health: coverage by market and trade, gaps, risks, and pipeline.\nProvide feedback to partners to help improve performance over time.\nRequired Education and Experience\n5+ years in construction, subcontractor/vendor management, business development, or supply chain, ideally in commercial, mission-critical, or data center construction.\nDemonstrated success building and managing relationships across a distributed network of trade partners.\nWorking knowledge of construction trades, prequalification, insurance/bonding, and the estimating/bid process.\nStrong organization and follow-through, and comfortable owning a CRM/database and driving action items to closure.\nWillingness to travel up to 40-50% and work across time zones.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExisting relationships with subcontractors in primary data center markets.\nFamiliarity with data center / critical facility scopes and schedules.\nExperience supporting a fast-turn estimating environment.\nSuccess in the First 3 Months\nA current, accurate map of partner coverage across all priority markets and trades.\nNo critical trade in a priority market left with only one partner or none.\nFewer bid-time delays caused by not having a partner lined up.\nA deeper bench of vetted, well-established partners in the top data center cities.\nSuccess Factors and Company Values\nSafety: Prioritizes partners with strong safety records and holds the network to that standard.\nIntegrity: Vets partners honestly and gives straight feedback, good or bad.\nMutual Respect: Works closely with Sales, Estimating, and Operations, and treats partners as long-term relationships.\nProfessionalism: Represents Compu Dynamics as a contractor of choice in every market.\nExceeding Expectations: Builds coverage ahead of demand rather than scrambling when a bid lands.\nWork Environment and Physical Demands\nThis role involves significant travel (up to 40-50%), concentrated in primary data center markets, along with attendance at industry events and partner sites. Work is otherwise performed using standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Duties occasionally require standing, walking, sitting, using hands and arms, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Site visits may require appropriate personal protective equipment.\nCompu Dynamics Pay Range\n$120,000—$170,000 USD\nCompu Dynamics offers a comprehensive benefits package that supports the health, well-being, and growth of our team members.
