You will design and implement cutting-edge and next generation Identity and Access Management platforms for CompuNet customers.\nThis role is central in maximizing the impact of both internal and customer engineering efforts by offering market insights, technical guidance, and tool development. This includes developing repeatable architecture, best practices, technical documents, and other knowledge transfer materials for internal and external trainings. This role will provide pre-sales design and post-sales implementation for CompuNet’s customers.\nThe Identity Solutions Engineer is focused on scaling sales and engineering efforts across all CompuNet locations.\nCore Duties and Responsibilities:\nBuild and perform quality assurance reviews of repeatable deliverable templates for services\nInvolvement with strategic accounts in partnership with local/global market engineering to offer technical guidance, align solutions with business requirements, and gather insights on current and future challenges\nGather customer requirements, perform white boarding, and communicate designs and strategies to customers. Independently build and/or mentor other engineers or architects with bill of materials, statements of work and technical proposals\nActively participate in internal steering committees and special projects\nDevelop and present technical documents or training for both internal teams and external customers\nBe an active participant in the local and national technology communities and events and present at customer facing events and trade shows\nParticipate in and receive mentoring from other Architects, Engineers or Engineering Leadership\nParticipate in team and customer functions including calls, meetings, trainings, events, etc.\nMaintain or achieve relevant certifications and assist with vendor compliance requirements\nOther duties as assigned\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\n4+ years of Security & Identity architecture experience\nProfound understanding of identity management protocols and standards such as FIDO2/WebAuthN, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and LDAP, with hands-on expertise in integrating them with Okta and Microsoft Entra ID.\nProven experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.\nScripting competency with Python and/or PowerShell\nKnowledge of IT governance and operations\nStrong interpersonal skills\nStrong analytical skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and synthesize data to make informed business decisions\nExcellent communication skills, including verbal and written communication\nAbility to explain and present complex technical content\nHighly competent in technical project and program management, documentation delivery and planning\nAbility to shift focus between competing demands\nCustomer service oriented with strong time management and prioritization skills\nDemonstrated ability to work independently and bring order to ambiguous situations\nAbility to travel, as necessary\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree or a combination of relevant education, training, or experience\n4+ years’ experience designing and implementing solutions\n4+ years’ experience in related field with one or more of our key vendors' products.\n4+ years’ IT operational experience\n3+ years’ of consulting IT and/or technology reseller experience preferred\nExperience in the automation and orchestration of key IT functions and/or processes preferred\nWho we are\nCompuNet, Inc. is an engineering-led IT solution provider that offers consulting, design, and professional services.
