The successful candidate will work within an experienced team, ensuring that our cloud support services for large enterprise customers align with agreed SLAs and KPIs.\nHatfield, Nottingham or Milton Keynes (full-time in office)\nMust be SC Cleared, or willingness to undertake\nWhat you’ll do\nWe are seeking a 3rd Line Cloud Engineer to support and deliver Azure platform services for enterprise customers. The role focuses on the operational management of Azure environments, working closely with internal teams and customers to maintain, improve, and support production cloud infrastructure across compute, networking, storage and native cloud services.\nThe successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Azure services, a proven background supporting large corporate environments, and the ability to operate effectively within an agile, service-oriented team. This role involves contributing to platform stability, implementing continuous improvements, and ensuring reliable, high-quality support for enterprise-scale Azure infrastructure while collaborating closely with senior team members and stakeholders.\nCore Responsibilities:\nPerform root cause analysis, investigation, diagnosis, and reporting of cloud-related issues.\nMonitor and optimize Azure environments to ensure high availability, performance, and security.\nTroubleshoot and resolve build, deployment, and infrastructure issues.\nEnsure compliance with industry standards and best practices for security, scalability, and reliability.\nCreate and maintain detailed documentation for processes, configurations, and procedures.\nDevelop and maintain scripts for automation using PowerShell.\nParticipate in on-call support outside business hours (additional compensation provided).\nWhat you’ll bring\nThe analyst should be skilled in cloud management toolsets, including but not limited to:\nCloud Technologies\nHands on experience managing Azure environments across multiple subscriptions and regions.\nStrong expertise in Azure IaaS services (Compute, Storage & Networking).\nExperience with Azure networking: VNets, Subnets, NSGs, Route Tables, Network Interfaces.\nKnowledge of hybrid connectivity including ExpressRoute and VNet Gateways.\nExperience with load balancing and traffic management (Azure Load Balancer, Traffic Manager).\nHands-on experience with Azure Storage Accounts, Snapshots, and Backup/Recovery Services Vaults.\nWorking knowledge of Azure Key Vault, Certificates, Managed Identities, and App Registrations.\nExperience implementing private connectivity using Private Endpoints and Private DNS Zones.\nExposure to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerised workloads.\nExperience managing Azure ARC-enabled resources in hybrid environments.\nNon-technical requirements\nProactive mindset focused on improving efficiency by reducing manual effort through automation.\nAbility to help drive continuous process improvements.\nStrong customer-facing and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to effectively communicate technical details to stakeholders.\nExperience in stakeholder engagement and cross-team collaboration.\nAdvantageous\nPrevious exposure to Azure DevOps & Terraform (Repositories, Pipelines, YAML)\nManaging and optimizing CI/CD pipelines\nProficiency with Azure CLI, PowerShell, and automation scripting\nMicrosoft AZ-104 - Azure Administrator\nTerraform Associate\nThis role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team, contributing to the success of enterprise-level cloud projects while enhancing technical expertise in Cloud Technologies.\nAbout us\nWe are a leading independent technology and services provider, trusted by large corporate and public sector organisations.
