As a Lead IT Consultant, you’ll work at the intersection of strategy, technology and business-turning market developments and emerging ideas into clear recommendations, practical roadmaps and measurable outcomes. You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders, domain owners, technical specialists, delivery teams and external partners across an international organisation, helping promising ideas progress from concept to pilot and scale.\nWhat you'll do\nTranslate strategic goals into prioritised initiatives, investment cases, technology plans and governed delivery roadmaps.\nLead horizon scanning and competitive analysis, identifying developments that could change company or customer direction over the next three to five years.\nProduce high-quality white papers, strategic recommendations and executive-level decision materials that make complex topics clear and actionable.\nDesign and run innovation frameworks and programmes, including labs, hackathons and proof-of-concept or proof-of-value activity, taking ideas through incubation and pilot stages.\nPartner with stakeholders to diagnose business challenges, optimise processes and recommend best-fit technologies based on value, feasibility and risk.\nEvaluate architecture and solution proposals, balancing creativity and pace with strong governance, standards and commercial discipline.\nBring broad technology understanding to each assignment and investigate unfamiliar domains in sufficient depth by engaging the right specialists and validating assumptions.\nSupport strategic work for customers and major programmes, including concentrated periods of on-site engagement where needed.\nBuild productive relationships with technology vendors, partners, analysts and industry communities to access insight, innovation and commercial value.\nInfluence senior stakeholders through clear thinking, credible presentations and compelling written outputs, leading cross-functional and cross-country initiatives without direct authority.\nAct as a thought leader and mentor, sharing knowledge and championing best practice in technology strategy, architecture, analysis and responsible innovation.\nWhat you'll need\nRelevant experience in technology strategy, CTO advisory, enterprise architecture, innovation, digital strategy, technology transformation or consulting; we welcome both high-potential and more established profiles.\nA broad, technology profile: strong understanding across the technology stack, combined with the curiosity and capability to go deeper into an unfamiliar subject when required.\nThe ability to operate strategically without becoming lost in hands-on technical detail, connecting technology trends with business, commercial, economic and customer considerations.\nExperience developing technology or domain strategies and producing clear strategy documents, white papers, recommendations or executive-level materials.\nBroad knowledge of disciplines such as technical or solution architecture, business analysis and data, with familiarity with approaches including TOGAF, SAFe, waterfall, agile, DevOps and DevSecOps.\nExcellent business acumen, analytical judgement, planning, facilitation and problem-solving skills.\nConfident communication, presentation and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear organisational choices.\nA highly collaborative style and the credibility to work with senior leaders, domain owners, technical specialists, delivery teams and partners across functions and countries.\nAutonomy, reliability and comfort working through ambiguity, taking ownership with limited direction while consistently meeting commitments and producing accurate, high-quality work.\nA responsible approach to AI-assisted work: using approved tools, protecting company information, checking sources and demonstrating personal understanding of the final output.\nIntellectual curiosity, integrity, adaptability and a technology-neutral, value-led mindset, together with English language proficiency at C1 level or comparable.\nIf you’re excited by the opportunity to shape technology direction, unlock innovation and turn ideas into lasting business impact, we’d love to hear from you.\nAbout us\nComputacenter is a leading independent provider of IT infrastructure services, with about 21,000 employees worldwide.
