This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing in-house function that enables strategic growth, supports complex customer and supplier relationships and helps the business deliver outstanding customer outcomes.\nAs we win new opportunities and broaden our customer engagements, we are strengthening our legal and contract management capability. We are looking for commercially minded lawyers who enjoy a fast-paced, customer-focused sales environment, exercise sound judgement and take a proactive, practical approach to legal advice.\nExperience in financial services, the public sector, defence or AI and hyperscale business areas would be particularly valuable. In return, you will have the opportunity to develop your career within a collaborative and highly regarded team during a period of significant expansion.\nWhat you’ll do\nYou will manage a varied portfolio of commercial matters, work closely with business colleagues and build your expertise through increasingly complex customer, supplier and legal work. Tasks will include;-\nProvide practical, commercially focused legal advice that supports business objectives while helping to identify and manage legal and commercial risk.\nDraft, review and negotiate a range of customer and supplier agreements\nSupport bids and commercial opportunities by advising on contractual frameworks, deal structure and risk allocation.\nDevelop effective working relationships with colleagues across sales, commercial, operations and other business functions.\nIdentify and assess legal issues, resolve matters within your remit and escalate significant or complex issues appropriately.\nHelp maintain and develop legal standards, policies, playbooks and training materials.\nSupport business-focused projects and deliver assigned work to agreed deadlines.\nShare knowledge, apply best practice and contribute to continuous improvement across the Legal team and wider business.\nRepresent Computacenter and its values in your work with colleagues, customers and suppliers.\nWhat you’ll bring\nQualification as a solicitor in the UK, with four years PQE or equivalent experience gained in a commercial legal environment.\nExperience in public sector and defence would be advantageous\nExperience of drafting, reviewing or negotiating commercial agreements; exposure to technology, outsourcing or complex services contracts would be advantageous.\nSound commercial awareness and the ability to understand legal and compliance issues in their wider business context.\nClear drafting, communication and negotiation skills, supported by close attention to detail.\nThe ability to organise competing priorities and deliver accurate, high-quality work to agreed deadlines.\nConfidence in working with stakeholders and explaining legal issues in clear, practical terms.\nA collaborative, proactive and helpful approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.\nA calm, adaptable and professional approach in a fast-paced and evolving environment.\nInterested?\nIf you would like to join a collaborative, commercially focused Legal team and help support an ambitious and growing business, we would love to hear from you.\nAbout us\nWe are a leading independent technology and services provider, trusted by large corporate and public sector organisations.
