This is a 13 month Placement opportunity based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire with a potential for Europe-wide travel.\nWhat you’ll do\nAs part of the 13-month industrial placement programme as a software developer, you will have the opportunity to:\nCreate showcases to bring to life our global strategic investments.\nAssist in ideation sessions with live prototyping.\nBe responsible for creating demonstrations and Proof of Concepts.\nProvide innovation consultancy across the business and for our customers.\nHave hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment which will provide an opportunity to learn and work on innovative solutions for our customers.\nResearch and suggest new innovative technologies and methods to solve our project requirements.\nWhat you’ll need\nAs well as a strong interest in IT and software you need to:\nBe studying at undergraduate level in your 2nd year of university for a Computer Science focussed degree.\nDemonstrate a willingness to work with any development platform, including Microsoft suite (eg Azure, Power products), backend development (e.g. NodeJS), automation/scripting (eg Python), web development, and Cloud technologies (Azure/AWS/Terraform).\nHave the ability and drive to pick up new languages or techniques as needed.\nDisplay confidence in bringing own ideas into any task and being a self-starter.\nShow a strong work ethic in a dynamic customer-facing environment.\nWork autonomously and independently where required.\nAbout us\nComputacenter is a leading independent provider of IT infrastructure services, with about 21,000 employees worldwide.
