You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the technology direction of the organisation, leading solution architecture across some of the most complex and business-critical initiatives while influencing technology decisions at the highest levels.\nYou'll have the opportunity to work closely with engineering teams, enterprise and domain architects, security specialists, and business leaders, allowing you to shape solutions from concept through to successful delivery. The role also offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders, giving you the opportunity to influence strategic planning, technology investment decisions, and large-scale transformation programmes.\nOther key responsibilities:\nManages the resource pool and assignment of work from the demand pipeline \nManages senior stakeholders’ expectations and initiative timeframes \nEnsures effective support of business and technical change through direct architecture support of the team’s project activity and early engagement in technical change. Supports the evolution of architectural designs through delivery. \nFormally identifies and acts as an escalation point for architecture issues and design blockers for key projects and programmes \nDevelops and mentors the Solution Architecture team to create a high performing and highly engaged team \nOperates and designs the Solution Architecture governance processes and chairs technology design authorities and manages controls \nWorks with Domain Architecture to ensure the design supporting capabilities are in place (principles, patterns, methodology, standards and current state) and aligned to wider technology global standards \nActively participates in global governance and Architecture communities \nContributes to annual project delivery and technology planning across the technology department\nWhat will you bring to the role?\nYou will bring experience in solution architecture, with a strong track record of designing and delivering complex, scalable technology solutions within large organisations.\nYou will be a confident communicator, capable of building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, engineering teams and business leaders, ensuring solutions are aligned with both technical standards and organisational objectives.\nYour ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery support will be key to enabling successful business and technology transformation.\nSome other key skills that you’ll have:\nExperience leading a Solution Architecture team and driving architectural capability development. \nProven expertise in solution design, architecture governance, and design authority processes. \nExperience working in Cloud, Hybrid Cloud and Infrastructure focused Architecture functions \nTechnology expertise in the following areas will be highly desirable Azure, Artificial Intelligence platforms, DevOps Practices, Infrastructure as Code, Microsoft 365, Nutanix Compute, Dell Enterprise Storage, Enterprise Networking (Cisco / Juniper), Redhat Linux & Openshift and Wintel technology stacks. \nExperience delivering complex, enterprise-scale technology solutions and strategic transformation programmes. \nStrong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate and justify architectural decisions at all levels. \nDemonstrated success working in high-performing teams within dynamic, fast-paced environments. \nExperience working across cross-functional teams, including engineering, development, security, and business functions. \nExperience operating within global organisations and engaging with stakeholders across multiple regions and cultures. \nExcellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders and technology teams.\nExperience within Financial Services, Markets, Share Registry, Transfer Agency, or Employee Share Plans would be advantageous.\nRewards designed for you\nFlexible work to help you find the best balance between work and lifestyle\nHealth and wellbeing rewards that can be tailored to support you and your family\nInvest in our business by setting aside salary to purchase shares in our company, and you’ll receive a company contribution as well.\nExtra rewards ranging from recognition awards and team get togethers to helping you invest in your future\nAnd more.
