In the absence of the Starbucks Manager, the Supervisor assumes full operational responsibility for the store.\nResponsibilities\nSupport the Starbucks Manager in all aspects of store operations and daily execution\nAssume full responsibility for store operations in the absence of the Starbucks Manager\nSupervise baristas to ensure adherence to Starbucks service, quality, and brand standards\nActively oversee guest service, responding to guest needs and service cues in real time\nAssist in establishing, assigning, and monitoring completion of side work and shift duties\nMaintain cash handling procedures, including bank accuracy, in accordance with company standards\nReview daily communication logs from prior shifts and complete shift communication for the next team\nEnsure store cleanliness, organization, and proper setup, including service areas, aisles, and tables\nVerify compliance with all state, federal, and corporate food safety and sanitation requirements\nCommunicate daily with restaurant or property leadership regarding events, volume, and operational needs\nAssist with barista training, including promotions, seasonal programs, and operational updates\nProvide clear direction to staff through effective verbal and written communication\nSupport staffing coverage needs and comply with attendance and scheduling requirements\nFoster a positive, respectful, and professional work environment\nFollow all company safety and security policies, including key control, chemical handling, and safe lifting\nIdentify and report safety hazards or operational concerns promptly\nPerform additional job-related duties as assigned by management\nQualifications\nAbility to communicate clearly and professionally in English\nPrevious supervisory or leadership experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting preferred\nStrong guest service skills with the ability to lead by example\nSelf-starter with a calm, even disposition and strong problem-solving skills\nTeam-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist wherever needed\nAbility to operate point-of-sale (POS) systems\nCommitment to maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor\nFlexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed\nSpend time sitting, standing, and walking\nSpend time making repetitive
