Ensures all code 753 mark-outs are accurate and performed in compliance with all local regulations and company procedures.\nCore Responsibilities\nEnsure implementation of Company safety, health, and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensure that safe work practices are followed, and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.\nCommitment to the Way We Work Principles and adheres to the Companys Standards of Business Conduct and other Company procedures including Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), discipline, and security.\nSupervises the development of layouts and drawings using Auto-Cad, ProjectWise, Irth, and Map view.\nWorking knowledge of City and State sewer, water and highway systems.\nSupports the Law and Real Estate departments by researching land titles and easements.\nPrepares and procures easements and New York City DOT sewer connection permits.\nConducts meetings with company field personnel, engineering, City and State agencies, and other customers to resolve issues.\nResearch, test and implement new equipment or techniques that improve productivity and quality of work.\nEnsure survey personnel receive required OJTs and are informed of the departments Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).\nMonitors the scheduling of work to ensure accurate and timely completion.\nReviews completed work for content, accuracy, and in compliance to survey specifications.\nEvaluates the field personnel activities and institutes changes where required.\nEnforces good housekeeping practices for company equipment and work areas\nRequired Education/Experience\nBachelor's Degree Civil Engineering or Survey Technology and 2 years work experience as a surveyor or\nAssociate's Degree Civil Engineering or Survey Technology and 4 years work experience as a surveyor or\nHigh School Diploma/GED and 6 years experience as a surveyor\nRelevant Work Experience\n A minimum of 1 year supervisory experience, required.\n Knowledge of survey practices and technology including engineering standards and specifications to develop layouts and drawings, required.\n Experience with interpretation of relevant drawings and specifications, required.\n Demonstrated skills and experience with Microsoft Office products, required.\n Experience with the construction of Electric and or Gas facilities, required.\n Familiarity with construction safety protocols and environmental criteria, preferred.\n Demonstrated supervisory experience, preferred.\nSkills and Abilities\nAbility to interpret basic information on drawings.\nAbility to build strong customer relationships\nEffective interpersonal skills\nDevelops and delivers effective presentations\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to lead/manage others\nAbility to drive multiple projects to successful completion\nMust be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.\nLicenses and Certifications\nDriver's License Required\nPhysical Demands\n Ability to respond to system emergencies\n Able to work in all weather conditions, i.e. excessive heat and/or cold\n Ability to work in adverse conditions that include, noise, confined spaces, and high elevations\n Ability to climb ladders and stairs\n Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)\n Ability to travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies\n Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses\n Use personal vehicle(s), and be able to transport, store, and secure company laptops and other job-related equipment in vehicle.
