Incumbent will supervise LNG facility liquefaction, vaporization, maintenance, and inspection operations.\nThis position does not provide employment pursuant to the terms of a STEM OPT Training Plan.\nCore Responsibilities\nResponsible to serve as Deputy Safety Director on respective shift\nWill ensure all daily operations, inspections, and testing is in accordance with LNG and Hunts Point specifications, and plans\nAssign, verify, and document daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual maintenance and inspections in plant log books, computer files, and work management system, as required\nComplete the update of assigned operating procedures and contribute to the updating of non-assigned procedures to ensure correct plant operations.\nPerform daily facility walk around to ensure plant fitness, cleanliness, EH&S requirements\nEnsure personnel and contractor comply with all EH&S policies and procedures\nDirect and oversee employee and contractor field activities, ensuring assigned work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures\nEnsure contractors and other company departments perform and adhere to safety and security procedures\nServes as field authority for all physical threats and safety issues until relieved by higher authority\nCompletes all required accidents, incidents, injuries, security, etc. reports\nObtain and maintain FDNY Certificate of Fitness to operate the LNG plant and Hunts Point compressor station\nSuccessfully complete Massachusetts Fire Fighting Academy\nStay proficient in all LNG plant and Hunts Point compressor station operating, maintenance, training, and contingency procedures\nAbility to work in a 24/7 operational environment 12 hour rotating shift\nRemain clean-shaven, fit-tested and medically approved to wear a respirator, including SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus)\nWill be subject to initial psychological screening and annual physicals in accordance with Federal Code\nProvide and complete accurate shift transfers to ensure all personnel are aware of any change in daily plant operations and/or status\nPerform other related tasks and assignments as required\nPerform energy isolation Stop/Tag procedures\nRequired Education/Experience\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of relevant full-time work experience or\nAssociate's Degree in applied Science or Mechanical/Electrical Technology and a minimum of 4 years of relevant full-time work experience or\nHigh School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 5 years of relevant full-time work experience\nPreferred Education/Experience\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering and a minimum of 4 years of relevant full-time work experience\nRelevant Work Experience\n Ability to obtain and maintain FDNY Certificate of Fitness to operate the LNG plant and Hunts Point compressor station, required\n Technical or operational work experience in Gas, Electric or Power Generation, required\n Ability to interpret procedures, plans & drawings, required\n Knowledge of cryogenics, preferred\n Knowledge of LNG, preferred\n Knowledge apparatus (SCBA), without facial hair or other conditions that may interfere with the seal, in accordance with OSHA regulations\n Stand, walk, lift, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and/or reach for the duration of the workday\n Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses\n Work rotating shifts, including nights, midnights, weekends, and holidays\n Work with equipment with a manufacturer weight rating of 350lbs\n Use equipment with a maximum weight rating of 375lbs when wearing and/or carrying 25lbs of clothing and equipment\nAdditional Physical Demands\nThe selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during
