Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain organized and focused under pressure are essential to success in this role.\nMajor Duties and Responsibilities\n Safety & Regulatory Compliance \nEnsure that all Flight Operations personnel have safety as their primary objective by adhering to established safety policies and utilizing the appropriate safety reporting program to identify and communicate all known hazards and risks to the organization.\nEnsure operational tasking comply with applicable aviation regulations, collective agreement provisions, and company policies.\nDuty Officer Responsibilities\nAct as Duty Officer which includes but not limited to:\nAssisting the Director, Flight Operations with his/her responsibilities in accordance with the Conair Accident Response Manual;\nConducts Flight Following;\nParticipates in Forestry daily call-in briefings;\nCoordinating and Communicating Internal and Customer operational requirements;\nCustomer Focused – build, foster and maintain customer relationships by providing exceptional communication and service. Address, collect and disseminate accurate, clear and concise information in a timely manner.\nPlanning, Scheduling & Logistics Coordination\nIn collaboration with Fleet Managers:\ndevelop, maintain, and administer pilot training and operational crew schedules for approximately 120 pilots supporting a fleet of 60 aircraft across multiple operating locations.\nCoordinate simulator bookings, instructor availability, aircraft resources, training events,\nMonitor schedule compliance, resource availability, operational readiness and spare coverage to support operational continuity requirements established by Flight Operations and Fleet Managers. \nRespond to operational disruptions, including absences, delays, emergency deployments, and short-notice schedule changes.\nManage and coordinate travel arrangements, accommodations, and associated logistics for the Flight Operations department. \nAdministrative Responsibilities \nPerform administrative tasks related to but not limited to:\nCreate and prepare reports, correspondence, forms etc. as required by the Flight Operations department;\nDistribution of pilot training programs and maintenance of pilot training files. \nEnsure payroll validation/accuracy and generate payroll reports.\nReconcile finance invoices for the department.\nIdentify and implement opportunities to improve scheduling processes, workflows, communication, and administrative systems. \nAssist in the continued development, standardization, and documentation of Flight Operations procedures and manuals;
