This position requires working on-site with our client in Washington, DC.\n*This role follows a 12-hour shift schedule, consisting of four consecutive workdays followed by four days off. Shifts rotate between Day-Shift and Night-Shift schedules approximately every three months.\n**This is an armed position. Candidates must currently possess a valid concealed carry firearm permit and legally carry a firearm in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.\nJOB DESCRIPTION\nThe Security Driver will provide safe and timely vehicle transport for the client and their guests in and around the Greater Washington, DC Area. This armed role is expected to perform the following functions: develop and execute advanced work/route planning, maintain vehicle servicing requirements, and ensure punctual and satisfactory client transport. The Security Driver will be expected to work directly with clients, guests, security teams, internal teams, external stakeholders, and key business partners to deliver best-in-class driving services. \nRESPONSIBILITIES\nProvide a “white-glove” driving service as the personal driver for the client and guests, including companion animals\nSafeguards the Principal and guests from all forms of security and safety hazards, ensuring the safety and security of passengers during transit\nCoordinates logistics and plans all details relating to the Principal's or guest’s physical location, including movements in, out, and around the site, while preparing for emergencies and other contingencies\nOperates vehicle in a safe and comfortable manner\nDevelop and execute operation plans, route planning, and advanced work, preparing routes in advance, including alternate routes\nConducts vehicle checks for cleanliness, functionality, and fuel level\nIdentifies threats and intervenes along the route when appropriate\nRenders aid in the event of illness, accident, or other safety hazards\nWork with home office staff and security teams to ensure a coordinated pick-up/drop-off routine\nProvide residential security support as needed, including exterior patrols, property checks, door and access verification, and vendor/visitor check-ins to ensure overall site safety and security.\nIdentify, track, log, and coordinate vehicle fleet maintenance requirements \nDevelop and implement internal processes and procedures\nMaintain excellent rapport and open lines of communication regarding client needs, requests for support, service issues, and deliverables\nProactively communicate with the client regarding identified delays or other route issues\nUnderstand, conform with, and abide by all Local, State, and Federal laws/regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions\nThis position requires up to 10% travel.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\n5+ years of equivalent or relevant industry experience\nCurrently possess and/or ability to obtain and maintain: a Washington, D.C. Armed Special Police Officer (SPO) certification; a Maryland Handgun Wear & Carry Permit (CCW) and Maryland Armed Guard Card; and a Virginia Armed Guard Card.\nCurrently possess and/or ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification.\nOperational experience driving high-profile executives or high-net-worth passengers\nCurrent Driver’s License with a flawless driving record\nMay be required to obtain a guard card \nThorough understanding of local and federal laws and regulations related to personal driver services\nWell-versed in driving in and around the Greater Washington D.C. Area\nExceptional communication and interpersonal skills\nOperational experience with residential security teams, executive protection details, and/or high-profile corporate security teams \nEmotional intelligence and a customer-focused approach \nA successful track record operating within a high-touch, customer service environment \nAbility to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy\nAbility to remain calm under stressful driving conditions\nHigh ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information, excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort working with senior leadership\nDemonstrated computer skills, including Google Suite and MS Office applications \nSkilled in synthesizing facts, concepts, and principles\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience providing executive driving service for individuals with mobility issues\nDefensive Driving and/or EVOC certifications\nAdvanced medical training (EMT, WEMT, WFR, TCCC/TECC)\nExecutive Protection and/or Tactical training preferred\nWorking knowledge and comfort with the use of communication apps (ie., Signal, WhatsApp).\nCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS\nThe HSA medical plan covers 100% of the premium for employee-only coverage.
