This role is ideal for a highly experienced architect who brings deep infrastructure expertise, DevOps transformation experience, and hands-on leadership in building secure, resilient, high-performing platforms that support thousands of developers across global organizations.\nYou will serve as a trusted technical advisor, partnering with engineering, infrastructure, security, and executive stakeholders to deliver scalable architecture, performance optimization, capacity planning, and operational excellence for complex enterprise environments.\nResponsibilities\nDesign and implement enterprise-grade source control and developer collaboration platforms using GitHub Enterprise Server.\nCreate scalable architecture patterns that support global development teams, CI/CD pipelines, software engineering excellence, and developer productivity.\nDevelop technical roadmaps for platform modernization, migration, optimization, and long-term scalability.\nProvide architectural governance, technical standards, and best-practice guidance across DevOps and platform engineering teams.\nLead deployment, configuration, administration, and optimization of GitHub Enterprise Server environments.\nArchitect high-availability, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity solutions for mission-critical developer platforms.\nDesign integration strategies across identity, security, monitoring, ticketing, CI/CD, and enterprise infrastructure systems.\nSupport complex multi-region and large-scale enterprise implementations, including on-premises environments.\nPerform detailed infrastructure sizing and capacity planning assessments.\nAnalyze repository growth, storage consumption, network utilization, system performance trends, and platform usage patterns.\nDevelop forecasting models to support future platform growth, infrastructure investment, and organizational expansion.\nRecommend scaling strategies based on utilization data, business demand, and operational requirements.\nConduct system health assessments and performance reviews across application, database, storage, network, and infrastructure layers.\nIdentify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions that improve platform responsiveness, scalability, reliability, and user experience.\nEstablish performance baselines, monitoring frameworks, operational KPIs, and continuous improvement practices.\nProvide architectural oversight for Linux-based platform infrastructure.\nPartner with infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams to ensure platform stability, compliance, and operational readiness.\nDesign monitoring, observability, automation, and operational excellence frameworks.\nLead root cause analysis and remediation efforts for critical platform incidents.\nServe as a trusted advisor to engineering leaders, platform teams, and executive stakeholders.\nMentor engineers, administrators, and architects on enterprise DevOps platform architecture and best practices.\nLead technical workshops, architecture reviews, strategic planning sessions, and modernization discussions.\nDrive adoption of modern platform engineering practices that improve developer experience, productivity, and delivery outcomes.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.\n10-15+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, DevOps, cloud, platform engineering, or solution architecture roles.\n5+ years of deep, hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise Server.\nStrong experience supporting large-scale, on-premises GitHub deployments.\nProven expertise in enterprise platform sizing, capacity planning, usage analysis, and growth forecasting.\nAdvanced knowledge of performance tuning methodologies and infrastructure optimization.\nStrong experience with: Linux administration, Networking fundamentals, Load balancing technologies, Storage architectures, High availability and disaster recovery design, Security and identity integrations\nExperience supporting environments with thousands of users and large-scale repository footprints.\nStrong ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to executive, business, and technical audiences.\nExceptional stakeholder management, consulting, advisory, and technical leadership skills.\nExperience leading enterprise DevOps transformation initiatives preferred.\nExperience architecting hybrid infrastructure environments preferred.\nKnowledge of software development lifecycle, SDLC, best practices preferred.\nExperience integrating source control platforms with CI/CD ecosystems preferred.\nFamiliarity with infrastructure automation and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions preferred.\nExperience with performance diagnostics,
