This role involves assisting with general maintenance of building systems including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. The position requires physical capability, attention to safety protocols, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.\nKey Responsibilities:\nFacility Maintenance and Repair Work independently or as part of a team to repair facilities and equipment, ensuring proper functionality and operational efficiency. \nAssist skilled trades technicians with general maintenance tasks requiring standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, and balancing. \nSupport maintenance of building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing through hands-on work involving grasping, pushing, reaching, and repetitive hand/finger movements. \nPerform tasks requiring clarity of vision at varying distances, three-dimensional vision, color identification, and ability to adjust focus for electrical wiring, equipment maintenance, and reading calibration instruments. \n\nEquipment Operation Operate forklifts and scissor lifts safely and efficiently, requiring ability to work at heights and maintain peripheral vision. \nLift and move materials frequently exerting up to 75 pounds of force. \nMaintain DOT physical certification as required for equipment operation. \n\nProblem-Solving and Technical Skills Apply practical problem-solving skills to address facility maintenance issues with limited standardization. \nInterpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form. \nUtilize intermediate math skills including fractions, percentages, proportions, algebra, and geometry for measurements and calculations. \n\nAdministrative and Communication Utilize basic computer skills for work order tracking and documentation. \nUse personal cell phone for business communication throughout the workday. \nRead and comprehend safety rules, equipment instructions, and maintenance procedures. \n\nAdditional Duties Perform additional responsibilities as requested by management. \nTravel occasionally to other office locations as needed. \nParticipate in after-hours on-call rotation approximately once per month or as needed. \n\nRequiredQualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED. \n0-2 years of experience in facility maintenance, general labor, or a related field. \nAbility to follow established safety guidelines and procedures. \nPhysical capability to regularly perform tasks involving hearing, talking, touching, climbing ladders, and working comfortably at heights. \nAbility to frequently exert up to 75 pounds of force and perform repetitive movements. \nValid driver's license and ability to obtain/maintain DOT physical certification. \nBasic reading and intermediate math skills. \nUse of personal cell phone required for business purposes throughout the day. \nAbility to maintain normal to extremely demanding attention levels as required by tasks. \n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nForklift and scissor lift certification or experience. \nGeneral knowledge of facility building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing). \nSkillsets in multiple trades (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.). \nPrevious experience working in a facilities maintenance environment. \nExperience interpreting technical diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and maintenance schedules. \nSkilled trades certification, licensure, or completion of an apprenticeship program in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or related discipline. \n\nWork Environment/Conditions:\n Safety-sensitive position requiring strict adherence to all safety protocols and procedures. \nModerate to loud noise levels requiring effective hearing and communication. \nOccasional to regular exposure to fumes, airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, and extreme temperatures (both hot and cold). \nSubject to risk of electrical shock, contact with oils, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. \nWork in high or dangerous places and near moving mechanical parts. \nMay work alone or as part of a team in various indoor and outdoor environments. \nRequires ability to maintain focus and attention in demanding and potentially hazardous conditions. \n\nWhy CTC?\nOur teams at CTC are passionate and thrive on collaboration in a team environment.\nWhen we encounter a difficult problem, we have a variety of talented and diverse employees that work together to solve the toughest challenges.\nAlthough our work at CTC is extremely important, we also recognize the need for our employees to maintain a proper mix of work and personal life.\nCompetitive salary and benefits package.\nVisit www.ctc.com to learn more.\nJoin us!
